Why did graal de-evolve?
 

The graphics graal has now are nothing compared to the zelda graphics.. usually when you clone a game you try to make things better, or at least equal.. but some things just got ruined when graal changed its graphics.. Like the big stone statue (in lower left corner of pics1.png) It was way better in the original version.. same goes for houses and tables.. now it seems with the new graal pw's being released, they are trying to revert to a more classic, decent graphic style.. I pray that they do =)

::added:: Of course the original zelda graphics were more pixelated but the design of them was so much better.. I really wish the tileset would be redesigned with more detail someday.

we didnt exacly "de-volve" i actually like the tile set right now but im not really fussed becuase i know the staff will do a good job no matter what. So ill just sit back in my chair and pearl dive so i can buy my second bomy and house.

hmm now that i think and just viewed my tile set yeh it could use some inprovments.

Heres the old pics1.. check out some of the changes graal had made to it.. I personally loved the old house designs, and a lot of the design.. I'm not saying graal needs to use zelda graphics and get sued, I'm just saying I think they just edited the graphics and downgraded them instead of remaking them with detail =/

Yes, I much perfer that older style (more zelda-ish) of graphics Graal DID use.

The current Graal tileset is horrible!!!! Just look at it! I really dislike the way trees look (what the hell... those do not look like trees! UGLY UGLY UGLY and the roots are ugly too) I hate the signs they have smiles on them, why do the blocks have japanese text? Why do the bushes have red berries. The "lava" tiles are the worst, look at some of those tiles! Like there is this strange stone with spikes and it's all just black and red with no detail. The tombstones have like this crystal at the base... wtf? The mailboxes... ugly. On and on and on

I've said it before, the tileset is Graal's weakest link. Horrid and inconsistent.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Lots of the heads are ugly, some of the bodies suffer from some horrible design flaws, the horses have these huge freakin' grins on their faces and they probably suffer from dry-mouth syndrome because they can't ever close their mouth. And that is all just from the top of my head

Graal did not de-evolve, however the reason I started playing Graal in the first place is because it's not one of those games where you beat a quest, you've beaten the whole game and there is nothing else to do. You can sill participate in events, gets cash and all that stuff. However, I must agree lately it has been a bit boring and I hope some new servers come out soon :)

The tileset is a little plain compared to the Zelda one. They could make a new one for a change and it would be nicer and something new and fun and happy.

Me neither. Just the castle tiles. And the colors of some things are pretty stupid. It would be nice to see something new for a change though.

that is why some servers are creating their own tilesets

I think the old castle tiles (The grey ones) aren't used enough. The less a tile is used, the more unique and cool it is.

I like the smily signs :(

You complain about things on Graal probably more than 90% of the playerbase, yet you like the smile signs... hmm
