I was playing a few hours ago perfectly fine. I tried to start up graal and I get this. I've tried re-installing as well.

How about just doing a system restore?

I like how Facebook is in the background, you have no idea how many viruses and trojans that are floating around in that place. :)

Cancel that suggestion. I just got the exact same thing with the exact same error

BlueMelon 09-11-2009 10:10 PM

Same Same Same Same same!!

I tried just restoring the files but McAfee pitched a fit and told me to stop telling it what to do and removed them again.

If you want an instant one, I would try removing McAfee :p

McAfee has been great since I got this computer (and it was free). Hasn't done anything like this before

Reinstalling graal fixes it until you close it, then this will come back

Bell 09-12-2009 12:03 AM

I haven't found a permanent fix. I've left a message for Stefan. Maybe he can figure out why its suddenly attacking Graal.

EclipsedAngel 09-12-2009 12:42 AM

Wtf this is happening to me too.

It's possible that these antivirus products are using some kind of active defense grid whereby if a computer suspects it's found a virus, it automatically submits it to alert other computers of the potential risk. I'd be willing to bet that someone's computer somewhere has picked up code similar to something like cheatwindows maybe and has submitted it not realising the effect it's having on other software.

The only solution I've found so far is Disabling Virus Protection for a short time.

Computer and Files > Configure > 'Virus Protection is Enabled' Check that off.
Then you can open Graal with no problem, But then click On again while your Graal is open To prevent a real virus from getting in your computer.

Hope this helps :p

You shouldn't have to do this because Graal isn't a threat to your computer and won't give you any virus.

Most of the "Free" stuff does end up with problems like false positives just because of 1 person submitting that such-and-such a program will ALWAYS carry a virus. I think there was an incident where AVG did the same thing for Graal programs.

I'm not promoting solely-subscription based Internet Security programs, but they really are better in most cases.
