New Graal Interface

So I decided to make a Graal Interface conceptdesign...

Rufus had a nice suggestion using the sword and shield as rotator being a Gun sometimes or whatever, themebased :) nice idea indeed!

Any suggestions from your side?

Crono 09-01-2009 09:36 PM

Not a fan of the bottom bar, looks alright so far. Would be nice to see a full mockup.

cbk1994 09-01-2009 09:57 PM

I don't really like it.

anubis_wing 09-01-2009 09:59 PM

Hot stuff so far, but finish it.

Switch 09-01-2009 10:14 PM

Where it's going looks nice

Rufus 09-01-2009 10:15 PM

I love the scroll bars.

DustyPorViva 09-01-2009 10:15 PM

It doesn't look finished.

SwimChao 09-01-2009 10:16 PM

I like it very much so far. It's neat-o.

Seich 09-01-2009 10:23 PM

I really like the color scheme...

Mark Sir Link 09-01-2009 10:52 PM

I like it

Elizabeth 09-01-2009 10:54 PM

cute! i like it

FaLLChiLD 09-01-2009 10:59 PM

Would much rather see this used in its current state over what is used now. :noob:

Is there anything you don't think is cute?

Darlene159 09-01-2009 11:06 PM

I really like it.

Loriel 09-01-2009 11:13 PM

So it is basically supposed to be the same interface with different pixels?

Other things would be just too complex for stefan

maximus_asinus 09-02-2009 12:21 AM

I think his point is that it is not a new interface at all, and this thread isn't labeled properly.

Elk 09-02-2009 12:25 AM

He's just mad that im using his shield! :P

bahamutstevetff 09-02-2009 03:27 AM

nice concept, its cool to have a fresh superficial look sometimes.

Bell 09-02-2009 04:02 AM

I like it, its very Graalian

Guard yourself !

That's really nice, finish it and I'll totally use it (just like 99% of the graal community)

Crow 09-02-2009 01:16 PM

Pretty cool so far, but where's the server input box?

Codein 09-02-2009 01:25 PM

I think it fits better than the horrible blue and toon styles.

DuBsTeRmAn 09-02-2009 01:46 PM

I think if you keep it like this, Also make the blue bar in wood style..

(You should also make a new Login GUI)

Server input = Server info?
or do you mean the server list?

Aswell, I wouldn't make everything wooden style lol :p maybe something stony!

I don't know, I mean Stefan has already used better interfaces (V2's, V3's) in the past. Would also be interesting to see what you could do with those.

I think he means the part below the server list where you can enter the servernames that aren't in the server list.

Elk 09-02-2009 03:21 PM

I had in mind, as you can see, tabs above, possibly add a "Development" tab that shows all inbuild servers?
Like the list in RC (its a little huge...i know)

Well, if Stefan adds a proper sorting feature for all those servers, that would be fine I guess :p

Tom 09-02-2009 05:33 PM

Nice, not a fan of the solid frames but the rest is good. I only really play graal to play the poker and pool games, so with something like this i atleast dont need to burn my eyes everytime i login just to play a game.

Cloven 09-02-2009 06:15 PM

Concept isn't bad but the theme and lack of creativity is a bit overdone in my opinion.

Rufus 09-02-2009 06:46 PM

The main problem I have with it is that if Graal does anything outside of pixel work, the interface will not be very fitting. Graal3d springs to mind for example. I was never a fan of the layout of the current serverlist design myself though, but this is indeed a better looking version of it.

I'd rather have a list of last 10 visited UC servers and a box to type them in, than a list of ALL the servers.

Tigairius 09-02-2009 07:22 PM

Finish it + put it in the correct format for it to be implemented, then I'll be impressed :D

Hm, could make a good topic to discuss. "Correct format"? Theoretically, you could just use most of the graphics as a background image and place all the elements on top. Graal would need another change though, a basic feature it was always lacking: a set screen resolution, which is not changeable. I would love that, but I guess it won't happen :(

No. Some of us still use 800x600 and fixed-width is the antithesis of modern design.

Anyways, it would be really nice if you could show a finished product, Elk. :) It's hard to say yes or no based on a 'sketch'.

We are talking about game design here. Having a fixed resolution would be a huge advantage.

Galdor 09-02-2009 09:27 PM

I agree with Crow :O
btw very nice Elk =]
