Hi, I need help setting up a message board. Like Ikonboard...I don't know how to set up one, but I want one like this, or they one at www.rottencat.com or the one at, www.fuitadNET.com If you know how to set up one...Post back here please!

the instructions there are pretty simple.. just follow them step by step. what's the problem when you install it though?

it tells you step by step how to do basically everything in the instructions. you dont need to know beforehand, the manual is perfectly done.

for ikonboard, read the manual. if somehow you mess up, but followed the manual perfectly, then it is probably the server's settings. NT servers have been known to cause a problem with many cgi scripts. ask your host.

if for some reason you do not understand the manual, just upload all the cgi files with their respectful directories to your cgi-bin. chmod them all to 755 i believe. again, this is all better explained in the manual. upload all the image files with their respectful dirctories to the directory "forum" in your public directory.

I used Ikonboard on hypermart to make the message board on the Bomy Gang website. It was pretty easy and I don't know crud about cgi.
