They realized that the server icons all sucked and that they were the only appropriate ones, so the left to get a better job.

Seriously, GK's a viking helmet (we don't even have those)
Zone is a space ship, which they're seriously lacking
Skill Games' looks like the kind a "skill games" you teach a kindergartner
Era is come kind of guerrilla looking guy, you could go out on a limb and say that's a head (but it's not)
UN is clashing katanas and, what, Dragonballs?

Good question, but mine has been just a blank (or transparent black) space where the image should have been.

They've been missing for awhile for me. I also get black squares on the Start menu.

On my other computer they're just empty spots.

When Classic was on the list it had mushroom houses lol.
I think they payed (lol) some random GFXer to make these icons and were either afraid to tell him that the pictures don't resemble anything related to the server or they are just completely clueless of whats going on.

The traffic cones are missing for me too, but don't appear black.

It's based on GK, but it's not an exact map.

I don't think they actually have most of the stuff uploaded... I know the GK bomy thing on the login doesn't load for me, and I always get a bunch of 'file not found' errors in my F2 window from llogin and the serverlist.

It's certainly uploaded or included with the client or something. I just reformatted, and the screenshot above is what I see.

I wish I could actually update the F8 description / map image for Zodiac..

I implemented this when it was announced in GS1 for Delteria years ago, I thought just about everyone forgot about it considering not even Zone or GK implement it.

I think at one point they said that if you have something better, they'd upload it. Can't remember when this was though, may have been back when UN's was still Malinko's face and so on.

I've fixed the server descriptions, and the two missing icons.
We have said that servers can provide their own icon, but it must look good.

The ones that are already up don't look good anyway, hope people submit their own asap.

What about the server maps?

i think that the server descriptions should have clips playing someone demonstrating something on the server, rather than just a picture of someone demonstrating something. just like on the graal online page- there's clips of people using NPCs or sparring or casting spells in each server section.

My guess is it'd be Flash, so there probably wouldn't be a huge noticeable slowdown (assuming it's streaming).

If that's the case that'd be a nice improvement.

Flash still has to download the movies, even if it is streaming... I don't really like the idea. It's not that much effort to just log on and try it out, as you're already logged on Graal anyways.

I guess clips converted to gifs might work. Would be somewhat cool :)

A preview of the server is alot better then logging in and all the gfx tile w/e +++
is downloaded..

A screenshot can be enough to entice a player to log in.

Since when have we had cones, for as long as I can remember we had different icons of Aeon and such. I never had black squares or cones I had other images x.x
