Zodiac V2 Update: July 26th 2009

Hello again, I'm here with another update for Zodiac V2. Over the last three days I have finished up converting my latest quest system from current Zodiac, and a complete rescript of the buff system for V2, I've yet to do the actually GUI part for that though but it won't be a problem.

Also in other news I have talked to Tom and he decided that he will be creating some blob baddies for V2 as well. I'm sure they'll be plenty cute to kill and such in the early levels.

You should make graphics for the whole ! and ? thing if you decide to do it like that... even though I think you can come up with something better than just... you know, World of Warcraft style...

How else would u indicate a quest? You are right though that it should be an image so it stands out more.

@Jerret: In the quest info gui i don't see an option to accept the quest. Are you planning on having it automatically give you the quest unless you click cancel?

@papajchris, look at the examplequest that's what he opened. So he already accepted it.

Ohh now i see. I thought that was the gui that appear when walking up to the quest giver. My mistake!

I will considering using an image or just a bold text instead of npc chat.

Also it still uses the same quest window setup, just substitute the text on the buttons.

Ex: Accept + Decline, Cancel Quest (Not all quests can be canceled) + Close, Finish Quest + Close

You're pouring a lot of energy into Zodiac, I hope you don't burn yourself out - your progress looks good. :)

Maybe you're right, but comparing World of Warcraft and Diablo II's indicater, Diablo II is a winner in my book.

Why don't you make use of ganis? Angry character stomping around because he can't find X, crying girl because Y is in her basement, that sorta thing.

Emotions in online game NPC's are bad except in text.

It would of made more sense if you said in a 2D Online Game, but it still doesn't.
