WSU Security

Is it a joke? A lot of people accusing others using WSU.
Could there be a possible update to prevent/detect usage?

It has been awhile since last Graal engine.

All I know is I would be disappointed to be sparring someone
that has enhanced speed because the hack isn't being detected at the moment.

Make a scare!

... WSU? Sorry if I'm not educated in the latest lingo; we don't have any reason for speed hacks on Valikorlia.

Basically a group of trainers, I'm trying to avoid going too far into Anti-Graal.

I welcome the challenge they bring and developing the anti-hacks to thwart them.

Wsu trainer by graalhack. They just released a new version that had macros for era that is part of the reason speed levels were taken out. Also there's a group called team WTF but I heard they just use cheat engine in stealthmode (I know someone from graal who went to graalhack) quite honestly anyone who uses it is an idiot since you need to pay to download it

I don't. I've got more important things to do then deal with the stupid things they come up with. Why should I be wasting my time catching some speed hack when I could be using it to add to the game/server?

oo_jazz_oo 07-18-2009 02:59 AM

Ive been trying to come up with ways to detect it. -_-

But, i know this has been out for a while...weeks, maybe months.

Its undetected on all servers...npulse has banned many people for using it.
They can wall hack, turn while slashing, etc...
Stefan or unixmad, or whoever needs to do something about it. -_-

It's basically like a better version of staff boots, lol. I logged on UN the other night to talk to somebody and OSL was literally filled with people running around at super-speed, laughing and slashing.

Yet another reason for me to brood on Delt Dev and leave the kids to their silliness.

Jeez, and i thought people playing Graal all day had too much time on their hands.

Crono1508 07-18-2009 04:50 AM

I don't know, I think I've noticed several players having a slight speed increase in movement. Really hard to notice, but very vital for them.

fowlplay4 07-18-2009 05:00 AM

If anyone wants my detection methods, I'd be willing to share and help you install them..

If you have to ask that question then you're not ready to be staff on an online game.

Sadly enough, many online games do little to combat cheating, save of course for those that have deeper-than-average pockets.

There's a difference between scripting secure systems and spending tons of time adding things that Stefan should've added years ago (e.g. simple MD5 checks for onwall).

I'm going to have to agree with Chris here. I do see a point in what Inverness said, but while many people are busy trying to make things for a server they work on, it's a real pain in the ass to drop everything you're doing just to fiddle around with a scripted method to detecting and/or preventing the use of a third-party program (Which, since it's scripted and not hardcoded into the client, can easily fail) when the actual engine within the client should be able to do so, itself.

Many many programs have patch releases for current versions of their software (in fact, just as I was opening this page, Firefox said a security patch for 3.5 was available, v3.5.1), and I figure Graal should address security issues and release patched versions rather than saying "Security issues have been fixed in the next completed version of the Graal", eg: Graal v6.0. How about a release of Graal v5.1.1, v5.1.2, and so forth where as each new digit introduced represents a hurdle that has been overcome, while in actuality hasn't been an entire overhaul and revamp of the engine in use in v5...
