Guild houses
Will the guild buildings be saved and restored in the new classic?
Lots of people made an effort into making them, why not use a little time to transfer them? |
Same can be said about most playerhouses, actually. I guess it all depends on how they intend to implement guilds on the server. I don't think they're going to not allow guild houses, so I can't imagine why they'd just toss them away. Though I suspect if they're going to do anything, they might end up moving them somewhere else on the overworld or maybe turn them less into bases and more as hangouts like any other playerhouse(again, depending on how far they implement guild support into the server), or make guilds resubmit them.

We haven't discussed guild content specifically but its unlikely that it will be trashed. Modifications or moves are likely but guilds are still a core part of Classic's gameplay.

I'd much rather they scrap it all, if you want your guildhouse on the new server take a minute and modify the scripts and resubmit the levels when it comes out of UC. Main focus for staff right now should be playable content for everyone (in the form of quests).

Guilds are sort of dead on a global scale though.

The guildhouses should probably be kept (well, only those that plan on returning and staying active,) though many will need to be moved, especially if the server is downsized. A few guildhouses were placed way the hell out in no where near destiny (you know who you are) which was kind of pointless.
Although guilds and guildhouses shouldn't be a top priority yet, they are definately important to a server. |
I would keep the levels, adjust the scripts if need be, and then perhaps work off that for a basic guild competition system(Ventrue being able to capture US's base for points that result in a weekly top scores or other incentives).
