something kind of middle aged or simalar to zodiac's, maybe pics1 edited. im dying for help, so if anybody could lend a hand pls do so. heres 1 thing i hope to see on this tileset.

Why does this tree look familiar? Where did you get it from.

The tree looks familiar because it's from Dusty's "Free Tiles" thread. He isn't saying he made it, he's showing an example of what he wants the tileset to look like.

These graphics forums need some additional rules and hell, even an active moderator that will push people into the right direction. People shouldn't be able to come on here and request graphics, it's the same principle as going on the scripting forum and requesting scripts.

That's what I am starting to see and dislike. I love looking at what people make, however I am disappointed when there are no new threads here for days and when one or two pops up they get my hopes up just to find out that they are requests. I post mine when I can but that is no fun.. What we really need is a new system for submitting graphics. I think it would be cool for everything released in-game would show up in one single thread listing the server name and what its for.

We should have an art gallery, like pixeljoint.

..or we could just have a forum section dedicated to graphics design that is moderated like Pixelation.

Pushing for extra posting rules is stupid and backwards. And besides, it's not like anyone is demanding you fulfill such a request. If you don't like request threads, don't even bother to open them.

In at least two cases, something good has come out of it. Better moderation would be good, but ruling out requests altogether would not. Artists could even say they're taking requests if they just want to stay in practice, which is something people commonly do on forums.

How big is your budget for this?

I really don't see a problem in requesting graphics...if you don't want to help, don't help. It's simple. Maybe someone out there is actually willing to make a tileset for this guy...who knows. He's not doing any harm by trying.

If it really bothers you, at least be helpful and tell him what you think he should be doing instead of this.

Well there's no moderation anyways so it's silly to argue about it.

The only thing I don't like about requesting is when people start invading other threads asking for them to work for them or requesting stuff -- keep it in your own threads.

Then insert [UNPAID] in the thread ;P
