Atrius is headed in the direction of transforming into a war based server. We are currently looking for potential candidates to assist us with the further production of the server. Currently we are seeking the following developers.
Hirings: 2 Level Designers (LAT) 2 Graphic Artists (GAT) 1 Scripter (NAT) 2 GANI Artists (GANI) To let everyone know whats going on with Atrius: World At War, here is a breakdown on what our goals are for these comming weeks. There are no longer going to be gangs, but there are going to be 3 armies that will be occupying the once profound city. The city will be infultraded by military vehicles as the 3 armies converge on Atrius City to take over its priceless minerals and island setup. The city will still be bustling with crime, robberys, and aswell as business owners trying to run thier stores. Unlike other war based servers, there will be businesses and the ways to make money will still exist to purchase your lethal weapons. Each gang will receive 4 special army weapons and military vehicles. You will be able to pick a class every time that you die. Each class will have its own special attributes. Classes:
Armies: Soviet Empire -Russia Weapons: SKS- Single Shot, 3dmg, Medium fire rate, accurate PPSH41- Fully Auto, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, spread Enforcer- Shotgun, 3.5dmg, Slow fire rate, spread Mod9- Sidearm, 2dmg, Medium fire rate, semi-accurate Vehicles: Aircraft- M18 Hellcat Ground- Tracker w/Turret Tank- T28 Hunter Naval- U39 Destroyer Helicopter- War Dog Kruger Milita -Germany Weapons Mossberg- Single Shot, 3dmg, Medium fire rate, spread Bar- Fully Auto, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, spread Thompson- Fully Auto, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, big spread Blackbird- Single Shot, 3.5dmg, Slow fire rate, accurate Vehicles: Aircraft- Henschel13 Bomber Ground- Hummer w/Turret Tank- M3A1 Pershing Naval- A2 Seawolf Helicopter- Air Cruiser Atrius Military- United States Weapons: MP5- Fully Auto, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, spread Tommy- Fully Auto, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, big spread Devil- Double Shot, 2dmg, Fast fire rate, accurate SP5- Fully Auto, 1.5dmg, Super fire rate, spread Vehicles: Aircraft- F-16 Bomber Ground- Humvee w/Turret Tank- M4 Sherman Naval- CVN68 Nimitz Helicopter- Apache Vehicle Prices-HP Aircraft = $3500 (1000hp) Ground = $1500 (500hp) Tank = $4000 (2000hp) Naval = $7500 (2500hp) Helicopter= $2500 (1500hp) ________________________________________________ Each army will have 2 bases. The naval base, and the main barraks base. At the main barracks base the tanks can be parked there. At the naval bases the ships will be stored there. After a battle of armored vehicles, if a ship is broken it will go up in flames, after 15 minutes if a mechanic does not fix the vehicle it will blowup/sink. Every time you die, you will be able to pick a class, so if your ship/tank is downed you can change and fix it. Each army is limited: 10 Ground Vehicles [Fits 4 people] Driver,Passenger,Gunner,Back shooter 5 Tanks [Fits 3 people] Driver,Gunner,Passenger 5 Helicopters [Fits 10 people] Driver, 2 Gunners, 7 passengers 3 Aircrafts [Fits 3 people] Pilot, Gunner, Passenger on top that can shoot 2 Ships [Fits 50 people] Pilot or Driver, 2 Gunners, 2 Missle Shooters, Passengers If a military vehicle is downed, and not repaired. It will be destroyed and one of the 3 top leaders must purchase a new one from the armys funds. For every enemy vehicle destroyed your army receives money in its safe. Once a vehicle is downed you may have a mechanic start to build one in the base. Example: Germany has 5 tanks out, one blowsup, you can build another. Amount received for destroying a vehicle Ground Vehicle= $500 Tank= $2000 Aircraft= $1000 Naval= $2500 Helicopter= $1500 The money received from the destruction of the vehicle goes to the army safe. It can ONLY be spent on making new vehicles. Aswell in the base, there will be garages where enough iron, and lead are stocked to make a new vehicle. The armies are going to be battling over territories. Every territory (base) they own for every 10 minutes, your army receives $200, and points. Points are tallied up and at the end of the week whoever has the most points wins $15,000 for thier army safe. The territory can be taken over from inside from infantry, or outside from airstrikes and naval bombardments. Air strikes can only be called in on tanks and humvees. If a army runs out of vehicles, thats where the radioer comes into play to call missile strikes onto the enemy vehicles. Every direct hit on an enemy land vehicle from an air strike causes: 50hp. The only way to take out aircrafts are from AAA turrets located at your base, or from purchasing them, or where you place a basic turret. Aswell you can disable tanks with grenades,p4,c4, and other explosives. Just not as near as much damage. Purchases Available: Turrets(5000hp) $5000 Anti Air Craft(5000hp) $5000 Barricades (250hp) $250 (Max of 25) More will be thought of soon. Every army will have an appointed leader. You will get to pick witch army you want to be in. You don't need to be recruited. You can only switch armies untill that week is over and the victory is decided. Every kill you get, your army's safe receives $10. You can also deposit money into your armies safe if you want. ________________________________________________ For those who dont like to PK: The businesses will still be open, and you can still make money and buy and sell guns to the army people. The soldiers are going to need thier ammo still! Aswell, mine and sell your minerals to the armies that need them for thier new weaponry and vehicles. The map is going to be under constant bombardments of plane attacks, tank invasions and other such things. There will be different territories on the map witch the armies will try and control for points. Each army base and thier naval base. Thats 6 territories. Aswell there will be 3-5 other spots to control to gain points. I hope this sounds fun for everyone, and once again I am hiring developers to help me finish this proccess. I feel we should have it all completed within these next few weeks considering I got all my help back. Ideas and suggestions please? |

Interesting, how do you plan on balancing armies? I'd imagine if you just let people join whatever army they want one of them will get quite bigger than the others.

10$ a kill. If you go classic and get popular, you'll have ~60 players I guess. thats, if equaled out, 20 people an army. to purchase an turret that could be destroyed, it would cost 500 kills for 1 army. x.x thats like 1 aircraft turret hour or more, and nothing else.

You'd be amazed how many kills you can get with the right playercount

Good move on making it war-based, though. I'd like to see more war-oriented servers out there, honestly. Zone was good when it had a decent playercount, but constant manager changes will wreck any server, I guess.

I dislike the classes. Pilot/driver should be combined, Radio/Demo should be combined, there should be a Sniper (would behave like a scout, but with a strong rifle), and Assault (assault weapons, average health) classes -get rid of Gunner, Soldier, and Sergeant. MAYBE a heavy weapons person (strong minigun, VERY slow speed, high health).

I badly need 2-3 graphic artsits to design the military vehicles and outfits. Aswell I need 2-3 LAT's to start working on the overworld making it look war stricken. Thank you. |
