Experience should not only come from kills!

As far as I see it, you only gain experience for killing or winning a deathmatch.
So, what exactly is going to encourage us to capture bases on Iricia? NOTHING!

This is probably the reason why players don't follow the game guide-line >.>.
Perhaps, it should fall more on the line of..

+When a player captures a base, it will show how many objectives/bases he caught in the frags menu (which already does). But for the amount of bases you captured, you gain 50experience per objective you have completed at the END of the game.

I mean, players who actually contribute something to the team should obtain something rather than having to kill someone, right?

Well then you can just spam it with your guest and get experience after experience.

There should be more ways to earn Experience, I will write down some things..

Get a 250 Bounty, 125 EXP (Only once)
Get a 500 Bounty, 250 EXP (Only once)
You could do more like this

Capture an x amount of bases for some EXP
Win Deathmatch an x amount of thimes to get some EXP

Whatever, you can make soo many ways

I agree; we do need more ways to earn experience points. I threw in a while ago the idea of having achievements and capture statistics but I don't think anyone ever read my thread, =P.

Oh yeah, by capture statistics by the way I mean like..
  • Capture 10 Bases - 50 XP
  • Capture 50 Bases - 250 XP
  • Capture 100 Bases - 600 XP (You know, cause it's a bigger number.)

Further iterations and so on as well. More could include "Win <said number> of Deathmatches in a row", etc.

Also, you could have "Get <said number> kills with <said weapon>", or "Get a <said number> of kills before dying".

You guys get it. Just my suggestion! :P

As to Donark's issue..

Perhaps have it so that you need a certain number of players on the map to be able to attain them? For example, at least 6 players must be playing Iricia? That way you can't spam it with a guest. (Number of players could be less or more).

You would still be able to cheat your way to free experience basically, I believe that's why capturing bases doesn't earn you experience or anything since it would be too easy to lame experience that way. The only logical thing would be to add incentives for actually winning the match since currently you don't really gain anything out of winning.

You could just do Tsu's/Ixi's win points idea.

We had the idea of giving money only at the end of a round (when your team captures all bases) instead of giving zone money each time you kill someone.

PaperMario 06-21-2009 06:50 AM

That's not a bad idea. Perhaps a smaller amount of money would be given for kills as well as this? Still need to earn money somehow :P

MiniOne 06-22-2009 09:52 AM

OMG HATO? Oo

You should make a timer per round, at the end of the round the team with the most bases wins and the more kills you have the more exp/money you will receive. (For Iricia) Instead of receiving XP or zone money when getting a kill, though that would remove the reason for a bounty..
