player.flicker(int)
player.flicker(seconds) will flicker the player for the given amount of seconds, just like when the player is hit. Currently it's a real pain to rescript because there's no smooth method to flickering the player that won't hide their nick/shadow and show smoothly for other players as well.
I don't think this would be too hard to add. In fact, would be nice to have it as obj.flicker(int) as well, to flicker NPC's and such. |
You could make a Gani for it

You could store a gani in a player attr then in your attr script, just toggle player.alpha from 1 to 0 every 0.1 sec for x length but you'll need a custom nick system to emulate the default to get that nick disappear effect as well.

This would be great.
