A long time coming...

It has been a long time coming, and it's something that I would have like to see done ages ago, but after getting Streety's permission and taking player polls, I have re-enabled the horses and the pause on Unholy Nation.

See picture below.

Enjoy :)

Why was pause disabled in the first place, and was it a PWA decision or something? If not, why did PWA have to get involved with it?

cbk1994 06-15-2009 05:36 AM

Yeah, it's a shame the PWA has to get involved like this.

_Zelph 06-15-2009 05:36 AM

All changes were approved by management. It wasn't a move on behalf of the PWA. Rather, Tig was just hanging around and was willing and able to implement the actual changes. Word on the street has it that he has a taste for classic Graal. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

oh my god horses this is a huge breakthrough

Luda 06-15-2009 05:41 AM

I think pauses were removed to prevent people from idling.

Can't you idle on UN without a disconnect?

I don't know, I just started playing recently but I heard someone say "it was to stop people from idling" in masses.>_<

you could when malinko was around, but i'm pretty sure they got rid of that after he left. or maybe they reimplemented it, i haven't been able to get on.

Ya, Malinko disabled it so that you could just idle on UN without getting disconnect, but that's gone now. They haven't reimplemented it

Re-adding pause has made people lamer than ever. At least prior to this I was able to chase after people and it was fun, but now they just pause, or even better they'll slash me and then pause.

Edit: I'm in townbarn.nw and don't see any horses, where are they at?

I remember it used to take them a few minutes to spawn back, and sometimes it'd just be completely empty for a while.

I think horses were taken off because of how easy cars were to get.

Oh you're right, there's some in there now ..and just as I posted this they all randomly disappeared. There seems to be a bug where the horses disappear from the level after a few seconds.
