so whats the best server out right now?
 

out of all the servers currently active and ready to play on graal, which one do you believe to be the "best" or "most fun". please don't post about some server before it that was "the BEST" because this isn't about that. this is also assuming you still play graal and don't just use the forums exclusively.

also no polls; just post your reasons and we won't need a poll.

It depends on your interests, but for someone like me, Era is the best. I could easily see it being GK in the future, though, if I had a subscription.

It's a hard choice because none are really good...UN is the easiest to jump into while I find Zodiac's gameplay to be better.

I'd suggest you play Era, it's very active and has a high playercount.... and there are many things you can do =P

Though the community is kinda unfriendly... So if you come visit send me a PM to give you some advice :)

It's annoying how obvious the mentioned servers could be so much better than they are currently.

I think the question only can be "whats the least bad server on graal at the moment"?

UN is a great server if you just want to go there and chat. I find that the players are very welcoming, and for the most part very friendly. UN has a lot of development being done at the moment too, so we'll be getting a lot of updates soon. ^^

UN is also such a bundle of stuff it makes my brain bleed ^_^

I'd say Era because I enjoy the competition and pking-style.

I've got 10mbps connection, I dont lag unless my connection is bogged down, no I continuously got lamed until I logged off

GK is the most fun for me, i switched from Unholy nation back in about 02, never looked back.

i'm going to assume that you have no reasons for playing classic, so your opinion is useless.

classic, the best place to idle and on occasions when the playercount reaches 20 or so the events imo are very fun to play but we are mostly known for our array of different ctf maps.

could you explain why there needs to be a new server, and what that server would be?

it's not hard to provide some explanation for your opinions so we can at least have a discussion about the qualities of the servers mentioned, perhaps finding the similarities and differences of each, rather than just posting a one sentence statement about a server and having either a "that server sucks" or "you suck as a person" argument, or even worse, no argument at all.

Why don't you tell us what you think is the best server?

the best server for me personally has to be unholy nation, because it's a sword-classic server that is the most active (sometimes) out of those types of servers, and therefore has the best sparring around at the moment. i'd much rather be on delteria sparring, but activity is 90% of what makes graal graal...

the best server-not set to my preferences-is a tie between either GK/zodiac (which to me seem like the same server with only slight differences, besides graphics) or zone/era (again because they seem like the same server to me with slightly different mechanics and graphics). i say these four because they are the most active on graal, and i would really lean more towards era being the best out of the four; simply because it has it's own innovative PK/sparring system, and it started modern-style servers - the other three are good, but i know other games exactly like them.

I rather dislike Graal2002, Era, UN, and Zodiac. What I cringe the most at are those servers trying to have an "RPG" system. Such a thing requires much more planning and thought processes than what these servers are accounting for.

I can't say I like any of the current servers, actually. No one server is favored above another by me. Classic is an exception. It would certainly be my favorite by far if it hadn't been mauled by vultures during years past. I suppose it still is my favorite, because my goals and future plans aspire to leave an improvement on the place.

I am most interested in Graal2001/Bomy Island and game play aspects emphasized there, and have been since the year 2001.

I would like to see a "Mini-New Main" of sorts be developed as a main lobby server, with ideas from old main servers such as Classic and Graal2001 used as starting points to elaborate into an even more professionally developed server.
