Graal Client crashes (flash)

The Error:
PHP Code:

---------------------------
Application Error
---------------------------
Exception EAccessViolation in module Graal.exe at 000A8B90.
Access violation at address 004A8B90 in module 'Graal.exe'Read of address 00000028.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Why is it that the Graal client crashes when I try to watch a youtube video off Graal? It works for someone else on the server, but crashes my client..

This is the code that's being used for the script:
PHP Code:

new GuiFlash("Flash") {

position = { 0};

extent = { 490490 };

playmovie();

tryactivex true;

moviename "http://www.youtube.com/v/0_1l1ahocfE";

playmovie();

Which operating system are you using and which operating system is the other person using? Obviously both windows, but maybe he is running XP and you Vista?

Mine crashes as well, it might not be compatible with the new Flash 10 ActiveX or something.

+1 on Vista + Flash = Crash

I know that all too well

Edit: I do have Flash Player 10 as well. Worked fine on Flash Player 9 with XP, though. Not sure which made the difference

I'm actually using Windows XP Professional. :(
So, should I try downgrading to Flash Player 9?

EDIT: Downgrading to Flash Player 9 actually worked and it now no longer crashes my client. :D

My client crashes also, and I have tried to downgrade and upgrade. I also have Windows XP. The exact script seemed to work a couple of months ago, but when 10 came out, it just wouldn't work.

Any news on whether this is fixed in the upcoming client?

k_killar 06-22-2009 05:27 AM

Its probably just a bug stefan put in there that sets off at random so that when the next version of graal comes out he will say "I fixed IT AFTER ALL THE WORK I DUN"

Yes, should be.

Fixed in the upcoming client = doesnt help.

Since we have no word if the client will be released soon, or in a nother 6 months.

This happens to me alot. -_-
If I dont add 'playmovie();' it occasionally works.
But if I add that, graal freezes, and I have to shut it down....

Would you rather it be not fixed at all?

What do you think?

I would rather it be updated in the current client...if they have a fix, why hold it out on us? -_-

Same issue with the security fixes. But, if this is how they want to run things, we surely have no say in it.

The new version uses the mozilla/firefox plugin, it's not working fully yet though.
