First Things FirstHello, you can call me Rage. This is my first post on these forums, but I had an older account so I am very familiar with Graal and Developing a server. SecondlyThe server I am starting will be a RPG-styled server. The tiles will be a custom tileset, not a pics1 remake. I have had my experiences in pixel art, and can take care of all the graphics needs myself. If need be, I can level as much as I need to as well. Along with those two, I can Animate (GANI), but it was so boring, and un-interesting :\. So I bet you are wanting to know more about the server? Sure. LevelingLeveling will be a key focus on the server. You will level in many of the jobs you will do, skills you learn, and even some personality traits. Thus making NPC's react differently towards you, and the prices in shops being different, according to your reputation. Each level you will gain some HP and maybe MP (not sure if we're implementing MP on the server yet). Your damage using different weapons will also increase. Just the normal increases will happen. Each job you do, as stated above, will have levels in it. Each time you level you will become better at that job, and become more efficient while doing the job. We are not sure of the total amount of levels there will be, but that isn't so important at the moment. QuestsThere will be a good amount of quests to do. Certain quest givers that are special to certain players. Some quests will also only be available during certain times of the day. Each quest you complete will give you EXP towards your level, and depending on whether you did the good or bad deed within the quest, give you a moral booster. Quest givers will also be treated as tutorials to help you learn how to do certain things and jobs across the world. JobsThe jobs we have in mind are best not mentioned here. But as we make them, they will not be the typical 'press s' or 'd' function. They will involve running around, chasing things, killing certain things, hunting, and various mind-boggling puzzles at times. There will be several 'levels' of jobs, such as Beginner, Regular, Master etc . . . As you progress and do these jobs more, the better you become, the more money you can make. GuildsGuilds will work some-what like WoW. The way you create them is you go buy a document (charter) which costs XX amount of gold. Then you get a small Guild-CP to control your members. Giving them certain ranks to TAG-up, and giving them their rights to help you recruit or remove members. Along with the guilds, comes 2-4 Guild Temples, or Centers if you will. These will be sites upon which player-guilds can capture and take over. Thus placing NPCs around in this "center", giving it life. Such as its own little town. There will be little pubs and inns to sleep in, you can change your unstick me to the beds (as long as the center is in your control), weapon shops will offer you weapons with a certain percent discount (each guild-center will have different weapons to offer). There will also be various rooms that are more on the random side. Such as a library to display little books of history and stories for the users. Giving it the role-play feel. As well as a library, there will be a Guild-Center Master. This NPC can be located in the main building of the center (will have a flag, or a certain effect on the building to display it as the masters building). He will give you quests to complete that are only allowed to be done if you keep the center under your control. Some only available at certain times, as I said. In the same building as the Master, there will be a Guild-Center Assistant. This NPC will give you tips and maybe hints on where to find some secret stuff, such as quests or hidden items. Overall Gameplay (Other)You about have the base of things now. Some other random things you might want to know about the server is that there will be foods implemented in it, along with keeping your hunger up. We want to have a good amount of pubs and places to keep the activity up and flowing. The effect for having 0 food is still yet to be decided, but we will figure it out. As far as weapons, there will be the basic melee-weapons you all know of (swords, axes, hammers, katars, daggers . . .). Along side these, will be staffs/staves. And as well as those weapons, we will be using some fist weapons. Such as claws, or spiked fists (etc). Each item will have a description that reads in the Q-Menu's Description box. This will tell maybe a small tale about the item, or how to use it. Just to add some more fun/storyline to the game. We have much to add and implement on these ideas, as well as changing them around.
Feel free to post anything you can think of and like to see in a good RPG. I will keep updates and screen shots posted, the current server this will be on is called "Lost". The name may change, if it does I will post it.
