Default PK Arena released.

The old PK arena that used to be up behind Burger Refugee in Graal City has been converted to a default PK arena.
You start off 5 hearts/Level 3 swords to have 4 hit kills
Saints get desainted, PK restrictions dont have an effect, dropping of anything is disabled to stop the spread of damn spin attack.

Anyway, this is the first step to exploring default HD, I would appriciate it if this gets used and tested, with feedback afterwards. That way we can continue our exploration into this for those of you who desire default back.

The only bugs are that spin attack is very hard to get rid of on Classic, you will have to have an admin remove it, so PM an RC to get that done, and that sometimes the systems clash in the lobby, no biggy.

Hope you enjoy.

You added lvl 3 shield so it feels right. Was rippin out some pretty good combos. Only have put in 100 kills so far so i've got more pking to do. Going to try to get a wide range of ppl in there with different delays and lag and post feedback. Initial feeling was great, lag was non existent, and overall was real smooth just like the default spar room.

Why is spin-attack a problem at all? Could you elaborate a bit on that?

DarkCloud_PK 06-01-2009 03:35 AM

For some odd reason, you cannot get rid of your spin attack using S +A dropping, they just reappear, there is no script on Classic that adds them. Can't be removed via script that I know of as that is read only on the serverside. All and all its a pain.

How is it working its way into the system at all? Seems odd.

That's what I would like to know, I scriptscanned everything for it and went over the system npcs but nothing there is getting it there, and certainly not readding it as you drop it.

Seemed a bit laggy to me, but it might have just been my connection.

I really like the default hit detection on Classic because it's pretty fluid, but I don't know how much it is going to change the events. Not many people have visited either :noob:

DarkCloud_PK 06-01-2009 04:30 AM

That might just be how default feels for you Glad since you've played almost always on serverside.

i'll most certainly check it out tomorrow and crush you all

After killing somemore, this is superior to anything else...ever. Words can't describe how smooth and lagless this is. Combos galore, anybody that loves offense and serious pking will love it.

DarkCloud_PK 06-01-2009 06:19 AM

Well, should this show promise in results and smoothness, as well as rebuilding the community, the next phase will be putting default HD into some of the events and see how they work(or dont work) on a toggle of course

Feels nice. Gj =)

How great I felt when I saw ''DEFAULT PK''
FINALLY I can fight like I used to, new HD isn't any good to me and makes me laggy as hell
I would do anything to get rid of the new one :(
