Direct X 9 needed
Okay, so everytime, when I am playing Graal and I change to the WoW window, then change back to the Graal window it says: "Blabla Direct X 9 is needed, you can get it from Microsoft"
Does anyone else have this problem? I'm tired of restarting Graal over and over again. |
Probably this is an issue with World of Warcraft doing something strange with the graphics drivers actually, since I've had Graal running at the same time with other DirectX 9 applications on Windows Vista without having any such trouble.
Incidentally, instead of a "blabla" message, post the entire exact message, and any log entries that might be in the Graal F2 console/graal4console.log. Nobody finds "blabla" useful. |

I've got to say, this happens to me whenever I got Graal running and open up any other DirectX application which runs as fullscreen. Closing the app or minimizing it will show Graal with the viewport as described above.
And yes, I got the latest drivers. |
This happens to me especially when I am in full screen with another game.
|
This used to happen on my old laptop when I closed the screen and reopened it. Never thought anything of it, though.
|
Anyone?
The whole message is: "DirectX 9 was not found - please download it from microsoft.com" |

Probably has to do with one application stealing 'focus' of DirectX from another. You're playing Graal, open WoW, and WoW uses DirectX and therefor Graal no longer can. I'm just assuming, however, as I have no idea how that works, nor if DirectX can manage two games at once.
|
Yes DirectX can, it's obviously Graal's problem.
|
Graal needs to unhook DirectInput on blur and rehook it on focus. JD.

Well, I forum PMd Stefan, we can just wait now I guess

Do you run WoW full screen? Because I sometimes run both while WoW is in window mode.
If you're running WoW fullscreen and get this error on Graal, press alt + enter and it'll fullscreen Graal. Press alt + enter again and it's "fixed". |
