Graal Ghetto Events Team

ABOUT GRAAL GHETTO

Well first of all, Graal Ghetto is a Modern day server. Similar to Era but it has it's tweaks. It's managed by Shadow/Shadowmvp. The server will be releasing gangs shortly, the system is done now we're waiting for the player count to rise a bit. There's a party system where anyone can create there own mini gang. Yes, it's similar to Era but you can say we have changed it a little. The most popular way of making money is to fish, you can catch Shrimp, Jelly Fish, Sharks, and many other fish. They all have there own set price to sell for. Trash picking is the other way to earn money, go to the recycling center and pick up a trash picker for $50.

At the moment we have businesses up for sale. Players get 10% of the profit from what they sell.
Exp: If you sell a 100k gun you get 10k in your tips box.

There's much to explore on this server and so many fun events. Log on some time to check it out!

UC arent supposed to have nondev staff...

Bell 05-13-2009 03:29 AM

You should be more concerned with getting your server developed than worrying about events for players.

Normally I'd agree, but after being on the server earlier with Nataxo I don't. They're essentially building a community and making a following for themselves, which is fair enough. It provides motivation for staff, allows them to identify bugs easier, and has a much better feel than other dead Under Construction servers have. They've had more players on all day than Classic, Delteria and N-Pulse and those servers don't require Gold to play

Nataxo 05-13-2009 04:13 AM

Yeah, to be honest its a preety good thing to have a community even before they launch to hosted tab.

Any private playerworld can get a small community, it's a matter of keeping interest of that community and gaining more interest of others. I think hiring an Events Team for a UC playerworld is ridiculous, along with past actions, but then again it may work in their favor as stated above.

I'd suggest giving an in depth description of your server Donark, then posting hirings, seeing as how a a lot of people have never heard of 'Graal Ghetto', including myself.

Maybe i should've bolded, in depth. That's more of a brief description, and not informative at all really. That's terrible if you/they consider that good 'news', no disrespect.

Conflicting statements. Events Team are always there to promote the retention of player interest within a server.

If the server believes that their return is newsworthy (and there's nothing much that is newsworthy on Graal) then the news article serves its purpose in outlining that it has returned. The news on login is not for big descriptions of old products, but there is information regarding its return in order to reintroduce the server to those that may be familiar with it, a small outline of the features the server contains for those that aren't, a push to check the server out, and relevant information for hirings in that article. I do not see how a 'better' news article can be written regarding the return of the server, unless you're expecting more than what the server actually is, which you probably are. It is clearly not as 'professional' as some other revivals, probably doesn't have an abundance of new content or new features, and you can only write news with what you're given.

I don't see an Events Team for a UC server helps promote player interest when barely anyone logs on private servers, but then again i have not been involved or interested in UC servers for years now.

That seems to be correct Mr. Rufus, you win. ;)

Don't take my previous post(s) as a bash Nataxo, i know your articles are good hence that's the reason i gave my support to you during the hiring for News Admin.

Good luck with the approach you're taking Donark, or whomever the manager is. It may work out. ^^

CharlieM 05-13-2009 12:09 PM

Rufus getting a playercount is well and fine but unless graal ghetto does a serious revamp it's not even going to get close to hosted.

Besides didn't nondev staff on a UC server used to be illegal?

Donark 05-13-2009 02:06 PM

Gangs havn't been released yet so events are highly apprieciated, and since we have 2 Events Team members, the only other thing to do is fish :/. And the dev is pretty much all done. All the guns are out and everything is scripted. So we need non dev staff more than dev at the moment.

And @ Charlie
We don't need hosted, we get a high enough player count without it.

Also--
I eddited the top of the post adding a little more depth to summarize Graal Ghetto.

Liberated 05-13-2009 05:56 PM

well if there's nothing to do other then fish, make some stuff that can be done other then fish, or events?

Donark 05-13-2009 08:52 PM

The gangs were just released today.
