Merh, just wanted to post a screenshot of the interface I am working on and get some critique. It's not done yet, but tell me what you think of it so far, so I can scratch what doesn't work, and add what does.

Thanks. :P

Not bad ^^! Looking forward to more progress, good luck!

I don't like the armor icons in the inventory. I also don't really like the color choices (the shades of black you used).

I like the inventory otherwise.

The main interface (top left) seems like it's too small and you just squeezed the bars on there. It looks too crowded. One thing that might help is if you gave a bit of a margin between the bars and around the head.

Good suggestion, I thought it felt too minimalist. I will consider this! Like to see what others think.

What do you suggest as an alternative to having item silhouettes in the paperdoll? I originally had a rust-colored interface, but others advised against it also...

I really love how minimalistic it looks, despite the graphics themselves not exactly looking 100% awesome.

Is the inventory forced in that position on the screen?

What do you mean forced? It can be toggled with an assigned key, but it always shows up there... I may implement mouse-movable windows, but I currently don't think it's needed...

Maybe it's just personal preference, I played Asheron's Call for years before I ever even discovered Graal, so a hard-interface is a comfort zone for me, some people like to hide everything, which is why the toggle exists.. I may go so far as to make them re-arrangeable via mouse dragging and keep the locations in memory locally, so they remain in position whenever you log on...

This isn't really a priority at the moment, unfortunately I am the only person working on my server, so I am jumping around doing what seems highest priority at the time, or just whatever I "feel" like doing so I don't get burnt out on one thing.

I will definately put this in the; // "to do" list
;)

Mouse dragging would be handy, as I sometimes use Graal on a quite big TV screen, and it's kinda tiresome looking all the way to the right to see the inventory :)

Well, this wasn't really a critique of the tiles, but thanks!. :)

EXP bar is going to be kind of annoying if you're a heavy socializer. I'd say stick it under the HP/MP area, maybe a little shorter in width too. Just a suggestion.

Actually, I am going to be replacing the popup chat bar with an interface-level chat window, to eliminate over-head playerchat.

Oh okay, but isn't that still going to clash and perhaps even more so?

Heh, as I indicated in the first post, it's still a work in progress. :) Adjustments WILL be made. ;)
