Where do I find Graal on Vista?

I'm using Windows Vista, and I cant find the Graal folder anywhere on my computer. I installed just like I should, and it didn't ask where to save it! It just skipped the installation and went straight to the game! It didn't save anywhere and the only way I can play it is reinstalling it each time I use it, where does it save Graal on Windows Vista?

Look in C:\Users\<YourUserName>\

Graal saves it there because Stefan doesn't want to bother making it Vista compliant (not writing data into the directory with the executable), so he just changed where it installed.

Perhaps version 6 will be more appropriately configured?

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you still change the directory with the installer?

Yes, I believe so.

Uh, Pretty sure the problem is that he can't find the Graal Icon, since he said that he can't find Graal.

It's installing files into the user directory to make files updatable, we don't want half of the Graal players having bugged installations because of some weird Windows behaviour shadowing and hiding files. Graal is fully Vista compliant.

The only case where people cannot enter the installation path is when they use the web plugin, it will automatically install into Users/username.

Shame it's not fully Vista compatible though, the Aero theme messes screenshots up and 32bit Vista + Graal = runs slow.

This is the problem I have. I can't do anything on Graal right now. I thought it was because of my laptop. x_x
Might be a combination of the 2

Well I currently have 32-bit Vista on my laptop as well but it's hardware is pretty good. I'm going to reformat it to 64-bit soon, if the problem goes away then it's definitely 32-bit Vista.

zephirot 04-17-2009 02:43 PM

I'm on a laptop, 32-bit Vista and it runs smoothly..

xXziroXx 04-17-2009 02:50 PM

I'm on 64-bit Vista and can't play the game at all in D3D mode (which is default), but runs perfectly if I run it in OpenGL.
