I dont think members can do that.
Why can't members delete their OWN account? It's a basic right to delete your own information on a website/forum.

This is the first time that I have come across such an absurd and ridiculous rule.
Someone clear this up for me please.

I have seen many forum accounts which were stolen or shared, and passwords had to be changed. Not a good idea for members to be able to delete their accounts just by signing on and going to their user CP.

You want your forum account to be deleted yet you continue to post? Makes perfect sense :)

Security questions, IP Address/PCID checks, Transaction ID proof?

Making a thread about raising this ridiculous issue isn't exactly continuing to post.

Last time I posted before making this thread was in 04-08-2009, 11:09 AM, that's 2 days ago. You either cannot comprehend basic mathematics, or acting blind to the facts to belittle the thread for personal reasons, typical of you eh :noob:.

In order to raise this issue, you have to make a thread about it which may involve posts such as this one to put you back in your place and show you why you're an idiot. :)

Most forum software don't allow deletion of accounts, imagine forum posts suddenly disappearing... Accounts can be disabled I guess.

Yes, like with Myspace. Someone deletes their own account and suddenly you have stacks of "X - DELETED" in all your Comments/Message box. :asleep:

Why delete your account? Just clear all your info and bail. :whatever:

Well, that would involve more than you just hopping on and hitting a button to delete your account. Accounts can be deleted or disabled, just not by members.

Why do you want to delete your account?

So you're expecting the staff to delete someones account manually, taking up time that is needed for serious stuff, so you just have the security not to be tempted to come back to graal? I think that is not in the interest of the staff, man

If your so concerned about your 'information', go to User CP and remove whatever information you have inserted, and never log in again. :\

Don't forget that your forum account is linked to your graal account. Also, i've never seen a vBulletin forum in my life that allows users to delete their account by going into their UserCP.

Is there some kind of universal declaration of basic internet rights that I'm not aware of?

- as far as I know, this forum doesn't use security questions.

- PCIDs and transaction IDs have no connection to these forums what so ever.

- IPs are also nothing private. if you're worried about people having your IP address you might as well just not use the internet.

MysticX2X 04-10-2009 11:42 PM

I'm appalled that somebody can't just pm an admin to disable/ban their account if necessary.
