Quarter 2 Update!
Graal Kingdoms Quarter 2
I'm sure you're all wondering where the update is, well I have news for you! Quarter 2 will be slowly added to Graal Kingdoms until Easter. Quarter 2 is not being updated all at once due to unexpected complications that are beyond my control. Some important completed updates for GK are not able to be uploaded at the time so we have to create some new things in the meantime to make up for the loss. I will post things that are being updated on GK in this thread so you can stay updated with this quarter. Tonight a few things will be added, and over the next couple of weeks more things will be added. No, I'm not going to prank you guys again with another April fools prank, so this isn't a joke, but I hope you had a good April fools day. -Graal Kingdoms Management |
Is there atleast a basic list of things to come?

Kingdoms Core has been released today on Graal Kingdoms. The event allows kingdoms to battle each other at all times :)
The event is recurring, so it will never stop and doesn't require an EM to play. We're still working out the bugs with it though, so please be patient and feel free to report the bugs and/or improvement ideas in this thread. To visit the kingdom core, go to the event island and head east on the path until you find a new large building. Trial members have received some more restrictions today. Trial members are now capped off at level 10 and have an ac/wc cap of -25. Dungeons have been updated so trials can no longer travel to kingdom islands (as intended originally). Improvements will be made for trials soon to make up for these losses. |
So I see you took my suggestion...

In kingdoms core, you can't hurt members of kingdoms that your kingdom is allied with.

Originally trial members were not supposed to go to kingdom islands at all, but someone forgot the kingdom dungeons, so it didn't work very well. This has simply been corrected. |

The level cap, i don't like it since it rapes my HP but from the rumours i've heard, i can see why it's been put in place. What i don't understand is the ac/wc cap... Level cap is harsh enough. Oh by how much has digestion been reduced? Btw, that 24/7 event, nice it'll give people something to do, one thing i wouldn't do is have rewards, no-lifers will camp it. Awaiting the improvements to trials :) |

Also i am not sure when or if digestion was changed but my opinions of it is the main problem has always been it costs 1 food for every 1 hp or sp you gained atleast when i checked this morning it was still like that. |
Fixes and improovements on kingdoms core event
-the allie system should not effect on kingdoms core now -you cant leave a core level from another kingdom anymore -you auto unsubscripe when you leave the start level this will be added/fixed later: -full health when dieing -more spells will be disabled -the scoreboard will be fixed soon in a few weeks (when bugs are fixed) i will give awards to the kingdoms. It will be like "Kingdom of the month" "Kingdom of the year". |

Graal Kingdoms has received an entirely new event system.
Positive features of this system in comparison with the old one: - When an event is hosted it will no longer interrupt your PMs. - Trial members can participate. - The administration panel is brand new, and it is extremely easy for EMs to host events now (used to be very complicated and hard, which made EMs not want to host as much). - Smooth GUI interface for event display & admins. - New features that allow EMs to send a mass message with the rules using the NPC-Server, rather than having to mass message every time there is an event. - Improved security in the event system so EMs can no longer accidentally delete events. The system is also logged much better than the old one, allowing management to monitor staff activities better. - It is easier to host custom-made events for events masters. - Events Masters can now use mouse warp (hold right mouse down, and then left click) while they're in event levels with their tag on. Edits to the new event system (since it's release of yesterday): - Fixed some problems for the EMs where events were being listed out of order. - Solved some access violations when the events were being hosted. - Fixed certain events that require script IDs such as Waterglass. |

The kart race event got blocks controlled by event masters now so event masters dont need to use there chat to actually build a "line"
:block will show it :unblock will hide it just unblock after you see the "go!" :) |

Think about it, if it was whoever won the most over the course OF the month, then more people will be logging on and staying on longer to farm it, IE, more active server. |

To Raelyn: Learn to use edit :noob:
And GK's pretty expensive considering the playercount, detail, amount of dev and comparing it to other, similar games... I wonder how many updates we'll see in these next few days. :p |

And as far as 15-20 players active, that's because it's a niche server, not everyone is going to like it, I mean, GK is based off of the open source rogue-like "Crossfire" which has ONE active server with MAYBE 5 people on a day total. So, some could argue it's a vast improvement. Another attempt at using this code was Daimonin, which again, has all of 5 people playing it. GK has something neither of those do, which is action-based combat. (Albeit it lacks many of the better features of it's counterparts) Besides, even if you don't think it's fair to have to pay to play GK, consider this, every so many months, you're giving Stefan and Unix 24 EU.. if for no other reason than you DO use their product, even on trial. You obviously like it enough to play on a trial account, right? Support them for bringing you this game. 24 EU is not a lot of money, and if it gets you 3-6 months of gameplay, that's only 24 EU that works out to 8-16 EU a month, suspecting Unix and Stefan split profits 50/50, that's 4-8 EU a month. That's a pathetic income in itself. So they rely on many subscriptions per month, or are forced to find other ways to support their families and homes, leaving them less time to develop graal. So if everyone thought like you, they would get less renewals per month, less money, and have less time to be able to devote to graal. For the love of graal, and if you want it to grow more, actually SUPPORT it financially, or GTFO and quit leeching on a trial account. |
