Server Noctorious is Hiring.
 

About
Noctorious is one of those really common modern servers. We are trying to achieve a new state of modern, by adding unique features, we are looking forward to reinvent modern. We will be keeping the elements that made modern popular, plus adding some more we think would improve it and, removing some as well. We are looking forward to having an active player-ran government, with certain obligations to those who actually work for the government. The governor which will choose how the government operates, by choosing his cabinet members, controlling how taxes are spent, and coordinating the police among other things, will be the center of this government. Government and economy will play an active role in the game play, how you invest your money can lead you to success, with a stock market and a free enterprise system, you can choose what you want to do with your money.

What are we looking for?
We are currently hiring all dev positions but, especially experienced NATs and LATs who have time and are willing to help the project. As of now, many things will be kept secretly in order to have something to surprise players with when it is done. If you are interested, or simply want to know more feel free to contact me( account: Seich, player nick: Ceo Díaz) in game on Noctorious, or thru forum pm, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, as well as to discuss ideas with you. we are also looking for ideas that would improve gameplay and make noctorious better so please feel free to pm me any idea you might have.

What about legislations? Maybe a police force to prevent killing in certain areas? :)

yep, I had very similar ideas, like making the whole server, except for very few places, pkable that way, the player police would have an active role in preventing such, maybe even have something like a wanted level.. but since this type of servers often revolve around pking we are still considering this kind of ideas.. :), what kind of legislativfe powers could a city governor have?

Well a police force would be pretty cool, especially if you have like rewards for catching criminals, like better equipment etcetera.

I was thinking taxes on sales, import fees etc.

I guess that may work, for our business system we were thinking to have a lot of empty buildings players could rent and do anything they wanted with it, something like setting up a store of anything or a restaurant or maybe just buy furniture and live in it.. so maybe the governor could set taxes for these, both sale taxes as well as public service taxes and so on, I guess we can expand out of the basic idea into something really incredible if we just think on it for a while.
