Assign Specific Staff Positions

How do I assign specific staff positions? I.E. LAT, GP, etc.

Also, when I join my own server, I'm not in the staff list. Any way to change that? I have full rights to the server... Just not in the staff list; which brings me to another point, how to I set my position as Owner?

To appear in the staff list, you need a staff tag, which is listed in the server options.

You give the said staff their tag representive to their rights, thus identifying their position using this tag.

You're looking for local server guilds, when you put the local guild in the list of staff guilds in the serveroptions. When this is done, person wearing the tag will appear in the staff list.

In your server options there are a list of 'staffguilds'. Add any guilds into the list if they are not already in there.

In order to create guilds you can create a text file named 'guildGuildName.txt' and add members to it using this format:
HTML Code:

Account:Nick
Use line breaks to separate members.

For example, to accomplish an Owner tag I would make a text file called guildOwner.txt with this text in it:
HTML Code:

Tigairius:Tig
After you've created the text file, upload it to levels/guilds/ and set your nickname.

Edit: Oops, Chompy got here first, hope this helps anyways.

Well it changed my nick doing what Tig said, but I'm still not in the staff list. When I logoff RC and login to Graal, I'm not even showing up in the list period.

Make sure "Owner" is in the list in the 'staffguilds' flag on server options. Separate staff tags with a comma.

Yeah it's there.

make sure it's in parenthesis too. pretty sure you need to put (Owner) and not Owner in the flags. could be wrong though.. haven't even used RC in quite a few months.

xfazex 02-27-2009 12:17 AM

So for example...

(Owner),(Manager),(LAT),and so on

I think you need(ed) to restart your client (just simply reconnecting to the server would suffice).

You can't see yourself in the list ;)

If you have your RC nick set, then you can see your RC from player. Same goes for setting a player nick and looking through RC.

No, "Owner" will do.

No, that's wrong. You don't use the ( ) around the tags, however, you can use the ) to ensure that no one uses the guild "Owner Test" and get on the staff list.

Using the ) after the guild names in the flag list is helpful for things like "Manager),Guilds Admin)," but you could also do something like, "Manager), Guilds Admin), Events, GP)"

That way any tag starting with "Events" will show up on the staff list. This will take care of any staff guild like Events Team, Events Admin, Events Captain, etc. without having to use multiple entries.

Not very secure is it? If I made a guild called "Events Guild" and logged in, it would appear to everyone else that everyone in my guild is staff, wouldn't it?

Right.
