who thinks the current manager of era is good (Deophite)
 

I want you all to tell me what you think of the current manager of era. Is he good is he not?

He's good.

Deophite is always on Unholy Nation everytime I see him hes playing UN. Why would we want a manager who is to preoccupied with UN to care about Era? Let him go be a Classic sword swinger. Era is beyond his understanding.

He's alright. He knows how to deal with the players but he does't have any Dev Sence. I say bring back Daz as Manager or even Angel as Manager. Make Deophite Player Relations. He knows how to deal with the Players. Other then that he's alright.

My honest opinion: I don't like Deophite, and I don't think he fully knows what he's doing or wants to do (but who does, really?)

All in all...he hasn't screwed up yet, and that's saying a lot if you look at some of the people we've had prior.

He hasnt really screwed up because he hasn't been on that much he pops on and is on UN or just not on at all.

I love deo, hes serious about his job and actually listens to problems
him and squirt are serious about their jobs and are cleanin era up :)

I'm not sure about his Era history or knowledge of how the server runs and what makes it successful based on his limited past. That seems to be the key in whether or not managers on Era are successful (amongst other things). My judgment is a quick one from a distance, but I'd say there are people better suited. By far.

From what I can see the only people who really seem to be running things is...Well I don't even know anymore cause everything is on Era dev.
But I guess the person who is really just taking charge of everything is Angel, Tig has practically handed his Dev Admin job to her. And Player relations.. Well, the GPs themselves are running that, I don't really see the things Deo are doing though, so that might be why my vote is what it is.

This vote being so public, you're not going to get very good, truthful results, because some people out there actually are scared they will get in trouble if they vote negatively, while others might think they will get bonuses for voting positively, then others wont even vote. Would be way more effective to be private results, but either way, this vote is really silly.

Deophite doesn't really do anything except host auctions for worthless businesses, worthless hats, and worthless guns.

This is rediculas and you wonder why era always falls to the ground is because people think "the manager" isn't doing his job. There's alot what Deo does and he's a guy who does his job as a manager. He himself doesen't have to develop he does all the work you don't see because YOU don't have a freaking RC to see it. Personally i've known Deophite from classic and UN for awhile and him comming over to a server he's never really played on and acually making things work is what i respect. He keeps everyone in line on what to do and checks on people if they arn't doing anything. That's what a manager should do in the first place, stop trying to get Deo removed because YOU don't see what he does like i said it's all on RC. It takes a staff team to develop stuff not just ONE person as the manager.

There mad because he removed Cutrale Industries and he is pushing for the new Gang System which would mean Nas would lose his gang. There idiotic little *****y players that are useless and shouldn't even be allowed to play graal. I didn't agree with Deophite getting manager but every single time I have logged on Era he is on RC and actually there unlike almost everyone else who is staff on Era. He seems to be understanding of his staff to because if someone uploaded a business without me knowing I would be firing whoever did it, and as far as I know he didn't.

I really think this poll should be removed the only reason they made it is because they don't want Deophite to change things and they lose what they have USDed for.

It's stupid, it takes a team of staff members to make a server not just a manager. Stop judging the manager saying he does nothing at all because you are wrong because YOU never see the progress and work he does on RC. Same happened to me when i was manager it takes a team not just one person but i got the full blame which isn't right. How ever when Icarus was incharge then you can blame stuff because he didn't put any effort in to help the server. Deo is trying to better the server and we've done a hell of alot of work on Era Dev which is "Improved Era" and once Chris/Angel get the player system/movement system/item system up and running then we can open Dev and show the players what we have been working on as a team. Not all staff members do their part that's true but Deo is on their back about it, example Kimmy isn't working on anything and Deo's been on her back asking her what she is doing. Same with hachi he's not that very much active and Deo's been wondering what he's doing aswell. But people like myself/DH/Chris/Angel/Squirt etc etc all the others Deo knows how hard we are working and appreciates it because for once we don't have some idiotic abusive children in the team who just want items or guns or make levels for themself and abuse their powers. For once we have a balance with Tig in charge of Development alot has been done and Deo incharge of making sure the staff team are working which everytime he logs on RC he checks his comments for anything that staff need "EG: Rights to something". If it's needed to do what that staff member plans to do he gives the rights, he then checks all staff activity and gets on the back of people who are slacking and not doing constant work as they were hired to do in the first place, not to just have power. That's what i admire about Deo is that he does his job but you don't see it because his job is all on RC.

I voted just alright because I do take notice the effort he's putting into the server. I just don't think he's that qualified to be Era's manager.

Who do you think qualifys then for the same job Deo is doing? really a manager can do so much for his job which Deo is doing so i don't really see whats wrong with Deo.

I don't want to start discussing who I'd like to see in place of Deo because it's just going to cause more arguments than we already have here.

What's wrong with Deo is that his judgment is effected by his experience with Era. Before Deo was hired as the GP Chief to "test him out" for PWA, he had no more than 20 hours on the server. Two months later he's put into management.

His judgment is not effected because he's not incharge of any develop at all for era, Tig is indeed incharge of that hence why he's Development Admin. Deo doesen't do anything towards development wise. Deo is the guy who decides who's hired as staff/checks staff progress/fires staff/make sure staff are all getting along and no arguments of some sort happening/making sure no ones abusing their powers/gives rights to staff that need it. Tig is also incharge of finding new staff for development.

I really don't see how it's a problem what Deo is doing, yes he hasen't got the experience or knowledge of era like yourself, myself and the rest of the oldbies but the thing is he's doing his job correctly and not abusing like past managers.

What exactly has Deo done for Era? He sold a business and some *** hats in an auction and gave Wil his ninja gang. Ok? When will we see some real production by him? Everytime I see him log on he goes to UN. Hes rarely on Era.

He does alot on RC which you don't see hence why you're making this judgement now, like i said a manager just doesen't do stuff for era alone. He has a staff team to do that.

Perhaps you should stop getting so defensive for Deo and as a staff team start justifying your claims, therefore isolating any player concerns. The people that simply just enjoy nitpicking about everything will always nitpick about everything, they don't need people justifying things to them.

I'm part of the staff team so i have every right to say what's happening.

I hope that the staff team are not limited to people like yourself, else issues like this are just going to continue. You clearly misinterpreted what I said, but at the same time you're giving off a rather childish aura and yet you wonder why people make such threads?

I actually did this for any reason but to see what Era thinks.....I was nothing with Cutrale INdustry, and I don't usd so I guess you guys fail at what you are saying about me.

I picked Terrible because hes trying to enforce the new gang system. If the players complain he still won't do it. He is going to take the gangs out of era. Which is good for newbs. But to the people who lead gangs or who are commited to gangs will be mad. And then they will not play. Then again its a reset. I just picked it because he won't give businesses a chance for no reason. I give him props or i would have picked Absolutely Terrible. He is leading ok but hes not the best. TSAdmin was the manager I want back. Or Daz. Eather way. He isn't doing too bad but I hear he does alot. I will at least decide if hes a good manager when his period ends of management. I just don't want the gang system to change.

Okay, Explain why you want TSA or Daz back yes they were good managers for the time being but Deo and his team has already been doing more then either of there terms as Manager they weren't even that great really (No offence to either of you) If anyone would/should have gotten manager other then Deo it should have been Andy.

Deo hasn't done horrible, certain ones of you don't agree with the fact that your going to lose your gang or he wont let a bland idea of a business be turned loose on the server.

I think the gang system they are going with is very good, and will promote newer players again.

I also think deo is doing an alright job as manager right now, and Reading Nas's posts makes me wish that they would hurry up with the new gang systems. I have only had one conversation with him ever and it was on Atrius when I said something like the scripts he was trying to have someone make were already in the server and didn't need to be changed. I think I got disconnected and banned until I got someone to unban me.

Anyways Deo has been a good manager so far.

he's probably the least corrupt one in a while although unless he cleaned house when he took over there's probably a lot of abusive scrubs under him.
