Ardeo, the long run.

Ardeo (Latin for Inflamed)

We are hiring once again. Information about the (lore side of the) server can be found inside the design document, and right now I can say that we have solid plans about combat, classes, leveling up, piracy and sailing, trading, wars, and more.

Ardeo started out as a really stupid project by me, mostly because I have too much time on my hands. After a while Codein joined in with me and my shabby team of people, and the evolution jumped foreward. Several times we died out however, but this time we are back to do it like a turtle, slowly but surely reaching our destination.

Now, the first question you people will probably have is, why would I play this over, lets say, Zodiac? or Graal Kingdoms? The answer is quite elaborate, but it comes down to individuality. If you read the design document and go to the Releases chapter, you'll see the plans of the storyline and notice that players actually are actively involved in this.

The first goal that we have for the server is to complete a relatively small gmap for people to play on, with one or two dungeons and a PK area, as well as several jobs. For this goal, we need a few extra staff members. Since Codein is obstructed from doing a lot of work, it is only me and Steve doing stuff. Progress is going slowly and we really need a NAT to make things actually playable.

So if you are an aspiring NAT, and want to have a fun place to work at, contact me.

The last thing I can say to persuade you guys is probably this: Codein has been with me for almost 2 years now, and we still haven't given up on it. That means it has to be somewhat good, right?

P.s. If you have any other qualities that we might be interested in (LAT, GFX, Gani) you are always welcome.

I've just read your design document and it is pretty detailed, it's good that you've planned out in this depth at this stage. I wish I could be bothered to collate ideas into a big design document for some of the projects I'm working on, but they've all just got a mass of text files floating around my computer.

I've read the design document a looong time ago (that Codein gave me) and I must say that you guys have really nice projects/ideas

I love the graphics of Ardeo, the systems and everything running, and if I wouldn't be busy with Azure Skies, I'd sooo help =[

edit: ah seems to be dev codein

The server is currently locked into a blackness level.

Im sorry for the double post but I cant edit the one before this.
I would very much appreciate if people would react on the Design Doc and the screenshots in terms of quality. Im trying to improve my skill in both, so...

I'll say that the tiles don't really have much variation to them and makes things really plain.

Some insides so far. I've yet to make different wall variations. Hopefully, I'll get some more time home next week, so I'll make more stuff :) I'm currently focusing on the walls and other details. I'm gonna spend some time on floor details sometime after tonight.

Where are the doors to get outside?

We don't steal. Everything was made from scratch by James.

Jesus christ it looks like we have to post this in every thread about Ardeo we make.

Looks nice. The walls are far too short however, and there is a lot of conflicting styles in that image.
