Well, I've thought about a zombie idea. (Dinos are too hard to realize, a talented GAT will need like a week or more to make all sprite of only one dino...) I'll keep main idea from Last project Still main city where you can buy guns and stuff. Within the city compounds, there will be stores selling guns and stuff, ATMs, restaurants. The city is surrounded by barbed wire and metal fences. Why? Because outside there'll be Zombies. xD To make money, there's 2 way: Mining. Or when you kill zombies you can find stuff they had when they were human (Like watches, some cash, phone, or some stuff like this) There will be 3 factions, each HQ will be based outside. There will be different size of zombies: Tanker: Big, strong and very slow zombie with many HP. Zombie: Normal Runners: Thin, Weak but have a high speed and low HP. Therewill be zones In each zone there is an abandonned base, people can rush it, if they kill all zombie and stay near the "Flag" a discount appear, when the discount is done they can use the base. (If any zombie come in the flag zone, it pause the discount untill they killed it, when you try to take a base you'll more zombie than usually. Hp system. Imagine that you have 100HP, when you lose all hps, you fall on ground (like when you seat) you gain 25 more HP, you can't move but you can shoot in all directions. (When you are like that a medic can drag you.) If you lose those last 25HP, you are really dead. (When you are on the ground you can't heal, but can be healed by someone else) And when you really die an helicopter with a medic will come and pick you up and take you to hospital. The screen will be black for a few seconds and then for a seconds more, the screen will be blurry, then you'll awake in a Bed in hospital :) We thought about classes that you can choose once (if you wanna choose another one you must pay like 100$, again ? It will be more cash etc) Idea of classes: Medic: They got an High speed, can carry more medkits than other people and have speed increased (so they can run fast to dead players then to revive them, they ca also drag players (But it will take a short time while the medic won't be able to move) And they mostly use pistols and melee. Commando: The basic class with normal speed, they use Rifles / Pistols / Melee. Haevy Soldier: They have less speed than Commando and they can use rifle, melee and heavy guns, like chaingun. 'course, if Insomnia really takes off you might still be able to get Dino Gfx and make it a Horror/Survival theme server... Another idea: The player is a Heroic Spirit; their body is incidental. If their body gets toasted out in the field, their body becomes a zombie, with type based on class: Heavy Soliders become Tankers, Commandos become Zombies, Medics become Runners - and they look like they did when they were alive, only I dunno, green skin? Maybe the body .png gets replaced with a zombie version? A "hat" comprised of overlays of empty eye sockets, torn away flesh, etc? I'm sure there's a way to dynamically modify the character into a Zombie without needing to remake every single graphic... Anyway, everything the player had that was Important (their ATM code, Weapons Upgrade Techniques, skills, job points, etc.) is retained by the Heroic Spirit as it leaves the body; the player gets a quick chance to change their appearance if they like before a new soldier runs out of the transport, gets infused with the player's Heroic Spirit, and this "new" character inherits everything the "zombie" character had. Maybe the new character is whichever (npc) soldier gets to where the "zombie" died first, and upon finding the Zombie's discarded equipment is infused with the spirit of the player - all done cinematically, so there's no Actual risk that another player steals your Gold +3 Chaingun... And of course, it's best if the Mobs of Zombies are done by a single NPC; creative use of Setshape2 could do wonders there...Serverside it's considered one big ball of HP, Clientside it's a shaping oozing flowing mass of undead humanity, each corpse unique...(or it's 3 mobs, one of each type so the Runners can slip through the Tankers...)
