I just think they should cocentrate on getting other stuff done then getting skateboards active..

Minor stuff is always going to get updated. You can't just blow off 'smaller' things because there are things you might consider more important.

There's no reason to. There is always 'something more important' to put time into. Yet there are always people idling on RC or just blabbering on RC. At least something is getting updated, especially when it was meant to happen sooner or later.

If this was the attitude towards minor stuff, skateboards and other 'less important stuff' would have never came out anyways, because time could have been 'better spent'.

This obviously isn't on the top of the do list for Crow, but for a minor update by someone else atleast it's something I guess. Personally I'm next in line for Crow to help <3 Win

Crow's working very hard at the moment on the new minimap radar so he aint got time to do anything else, i think this is good that kimmy is doing this in her time small little projects to keep a few people happy.

well it just goes to show how pathetic updates have been if people are going crazy over skateboard updates.

As I said in another thread the skateboard updates were made by Kimmy in her spare time. She is not a GAT, she is a LAT, and the skateboards are completely unrelated to her work on Era.

so what is she doing outside of her spare time?

I think that this update is useless, but at least it's something. Sadly, it reminds me of the motorbikes that pulled a Houdini on us...

Not true. The new gmap IS being worked on currently.

I was the one who updated the skateboards. If you got something to say about them then PM.
I've already told you guys who have complained about the skateboards being updated.
I only did them because I was bored, and I had photoshop up anyways.
They didn't take long and it's fun to do other things besides making levels from 16 x 16 pixel tiles.

A LAT should see level making as fun...

I'm pretty sure nothing is fun if you do it over and over again without trying something else occasionally

And anyway, as someone else said, there needs to be more in the tileset.

I thought the tileset was pretty full myself I haven't opened it on this pc so I haven't opened it recently because Eras got that buggy offline tiledefs problem. I used to build levels over and over again, I would even do them with OLE's and I never lost interest in it

after leveling for quite a few years I think I can safely say that the tileset is extremely boring. icarus did a lot of neat editting to some tiles which needs to be done to a lot more of the tileset, along with additions that MATCH the tileset.
