Level Editor

When I try to open level editor, which I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 times now, says the following:

"The file pics1.png was not found in the Graal folder!"

Halp

You need the pics1.png file. Just log on to the login(server list) and you should get it.

I have it, you get the level editor from login.

The problem is, pics1 is right where it should be, levels/tiles/pics1

Copy and paste it into the Graal folder... or try deleting your FILENAMECACHE.txt. I assume the latter is the problem. Then just restart the editor.

Neither worked.

What happens when you try to set a new tiledef?

I don't think this will work, since he can't open the level editor ... and it won't normally crash if it can't find the tiles. It must be something specific to pics1.png

Are you opening the level editor directly from the Graal folder? You may have accidently copied it when trying to make a shortcut. I've done this before.

It's supposed, and required, to be directly in the Graal folder. Not anywhere else.

Try deleting the pics1.png you have, and deleting filenamecache at the same time. After you delete both of those try to login again. After you log in see if the editor works. Make sure the editor is closed throughout all of that too.

Actually, no. The editor wants it to be in the Graal folder, but since v4 or v5 it downloads itself into Graal\levels\tiles\. And, actually, my editor is completely fine with that location.

Because paint doesn't save it in 8-bit, since the offline editor can't read 24-bit PNGs(non-indexed).
