I'll try to clarify, but I can only guess so much. I believe that his first idea is what Shadow5596321 was trying to say, the finalist can invite people to watch them in private battles.

I believe the others is a list of the events (That have happened and will happen?) that can be seen by only gold subscribers.

A loser's bench would be nice xD
