Now that Sales and Andy are gone...
 
And the reset has little to no chance of coming anytime in the future....

Can someone please just make my gang system for pre-reset? It's by far easier to make than Sales whcih is mine and Manges combined with a few added things. Sure the four corner thing sounds lovely and all, but I didn't think we had enough players to support 4 gangs and a bunch of small gangs anyway.

Anywho, heres my gang idea again. I would imagine it'd be really easy to script...

Well instead of making yet another new gang in which none seem to ever succeed, we were thinking about removing gangs all together and just change the party system. I know what you’re thinking, but before you freak out, please READ on…
We could take out the word “party” from the party tags so everyone can basically make their own gang with their friends and also make all the old gang bases into claimable bases to take over just like EM which seems to be raided more than any gang at the moment. The benefits for taking over a gang could be simply party points for the scoreboard, control of the base and doors, access to the gun shop of that building in which the gang gun ammo will be (instead of it being Uzi or Ak ammo, it’d go back to it’s own ammo but you wouldn’t have to stock it). This would promote raiding and you can put the gang gun in a non-PK zone so there is no stealing of money. Also with the points you obtain taking over the bases and PKing, you could use them to obtain more slots for more members to the party with a maximum of 15. Also, if the Gang Admin feels that the party has been active long enough, has enough points and feels they will be sticking around, the members of that party may have a non-droppable gang hat uploaded for them, though all the work must be done by that party and be of good quality. If the party goes inactive the items would be removed.

To create a party you must have "x" amount of cash on you. When you create the party it will automatically take it off your account and create the party. By the end of the day if you wish to keep your party you need at least (3-5?) members, otherwise it will be destroyed. The member limit wil be 7 until you obtain enough points to have more (limit being 15.) You need at least "x" amount of points a week to keep your party. Since we only wish to keep you active, the number will be kept low enough for even the "noobs" to keep their gang. We aren't here to restrict the non-PKers from having a gang of their own with their friends, only to make sure they are keeping the gang active.

If this system fails, we can easily turn it back to the old gang system…It’s just a question of do you want to try this? I mean, I even see high ranking gang members roaming around Era with party tags raiding EM and such. Do people even really enjoy gangs anymore? I know I haven’t for a looooong time."

Isn't this how the 'party' system was in Jenn era with The Congregation, Foray Crew, etc?

Basically my idea shares a lot of Jenn's gang system idea, but mine would be a lot easier to keep your gang just by staying active and logging on. You couldn't lose your gang by another gang sitting in your ****ty looking base you dont even want and glicth abusing it at night to suck all their points out till death.

Also, instead of having your own base, you have to claim the current gang bases and a few other buildings instead by raiding them. If you want to keep a building you damn well better defend it...expecially if you need the ammo inside it's shop such as BHer ammo. This would promote people to raid rather than trying to lame points and running.

Another thing is mine wouldn't have a limit on how many street gangs there could be. If you can keep the minium limit for the party and keep it active, more power to you.

No limit for street gangs? That would totally ruin the point of gangs as organizations in themselves. If everyone can make gangs, then why would they want to give their power status to someone else's leadership? I like the overall outline of the plan, but it needs alot of touching up.

Well, remember they need atleast 5 members to stay in it and the gang has to stay active otherwise it gets deleted and they lost X amount of money trying to start a gang and fail. I would imagine it'd be hard to keep those +5 people for a lot of no name players. Sure there will be a few noob groups, but how long do you think those will last? Besides, if someone wants to take a shot at having their own gang, whats so bad about that as long as they meet the requirements? I mean, we could even raise the requirements or something if you think 5 is too little or add requirements, but I don't want it too difficult to keep a gang like Jenn's system was.

That's 54545 ****ing PLUS!

From what Crow told me Era was just a little place where every staff just did what they liked to do and did not really work @ anything in a team.
But with Tig. things will change.

Btw. From what I've heard there's a new gang system already done, not sure.

Tig already told me he will try to help Era out, and I also want to get things to be organized. If we succeed, maybe things will get done faster.
Also, although having Tig is pretty cool, he doesn't have too much time either. He's already doing a lot of other things.

anyway, the reset is in no way closer, I don't know why you would think that Sam. Era is going through extremely rough times now and I don't see anything getting done anytime soon.

as far as the gang idea, it sounds alright.
