Enemy Healing

Healing your enemy, as a medic.

Fix it, it's annoying and cheap.

Comment plx.

Deal with it.

Deas_Voice 12-13-2008 12:41 AM

nothing to fix, deal with it, its not illegal nor a bug or a glitch.

Crono 12-13-2008 01:41 AM

i agree, disable healing the enemy seriously.

No.

Plain and simple. I can't believe there's even an issue with this.

Myself, I always kill enemy medics 'cause it's an easy kill and they annoy me.

"Medic!"
*comes over to heal*
*pipebomb in face*

Works everytime.

jkool666 12-13-2008 04:21 AM

Yeah I could go either way on this.

Though Dante draws a strong point, I do love killing friendly meds.

I do myself heal enemies, but I'd rather call myself a neutral medic, I'll heal if asked, if I'm attacked, then I'll attack as well. But I agree the slackers are a pain in the ass, just waiting there, being in your way, and a hassle to protect.
Free kills to, right?

Liberated 12-13-2008 09:47 AM

enemy healers can be nice to kill, but not everyone has that intention. And it's a pain when you're fighting an enemy, one of your own team mates keeps healing him, and the stupid thing is you can't kill him,

pico57 12-13-2008 10:47 AM

Or, when You have low HP. You tell him to med you... And when its done...

Friendly medics are awsome.
I just cake them and put prox around them xD

DarkRenji 12-13-2008 03:33 PM

When I played zone I hated these type of people, So if I saw then enemy healing my team, I would run up and DS them as fast as possible...

bahamutstevetff 12-13-2008 05:02 PM

a medics job is to heal, so they can heal whoever they like.

Lol remember grenades? xD

Liberated 12-13-2008 09:17 PM

maybe start off with 1 planet having friendly fire, and see how it goes, maybe you should also get a small punishment, like -exp, or -money for shooting a friend, but i think shooting a friendly medic healing enemies is worth that.

and maybe noobs who already have o money and exp should be banned after being reported for continuous unnecissery friendly fire.

and maybe you should be able to turn it off, because it sucks if you accidently shoot a friend.

k.
i don't think that's what he meant.
i'm pretty sure he meant team members healing enemies.

you: MED!!
*team member heals enemy*
*enemy fights you and wins*
*team member heals enemy*

This.

If enemy medics can heal your team, then it doesn't make sense not to have friendly fire on. Either disable healing of enemies, or enable friendly fire.

Elizabeth 12-13-2008 09:53 PM

and then a bunch of idiots on your own team would lame your base.

bahamutstevetff 12-14-2008 12:02 AM

just make it so you dont gain exp or money for killing your own team.

Indeed it would. The point is that it doesn't make sense having healing of enemies enabled while having killing of allies disabled.

I can see how you think it wouldn't make sense, but I see no problem with it and I never really have.

Friendly medics have been a part of Zone for as long as I can remember. Noobs running around shouting "DONT SHOOT" at base 1..

Then when Syringe was invented even I had fun as a medic. Heal someone then whip out the syringe and ka-LAME!

Personally, I wanna see the good ol' own team morter spam again.

Minomato 12-14-2008 04:13 PM

Let's say you're fighting someone, one on one, in Iricia. You're about to kill them, and you've both used up your supply of medikits. A "friendly medic" from your team comes over, running to his "homeboy" on the other team, and heals him. Not only is the friendly medic healing the guy that wants you dead, but he's also meatshielding for him, making it difficult for you to hit him, as the friendly medic is impervious to your weaponry, being on your team.

Is that fair? If that guy wants to get healed, he can go find a medic on his own team, so you can at least be able to kill both of them and be done with it. If the medic is friends with the other guy, they should be on the same team.

Getting rid of healing people on the other team would also remove a lot of mess, with people getting themselves killed while exclaiming "Peace!" instead of fighting the other team and healing allies. This is a war, with sides that are fighting each other for a reason. (Or so we think...)

-Edit-: Oh, and no friendly fire. Do you have any idea of what that would do to gameplay? Guest accounts wouldn't be affected by that penalty at all, by the way.

DarkRenji 12-14-2008 11:10 PM

Maybe you can have a option to vote a player off your team?
if enough votes get passed he is kicked.

or once someone heals the enemy, friendly fire is enabled on him, so we can shoot him o.o
