Thor and Co.
I challenge you to start a newbie account, go on Classic, and beat Sartan's quest on your own. With no outside assistance.
Please, let me know that it's possible. |
i feel u haha!
|
Which quest is Sartan's quest.. is that the one where you get jailed? I didn't think it was that bad although it took some time for me to figure out how to kill the final boss.
(I've just started doing all the quests on classic again in the past month.) If that's the one then I found it easiest to let his fire reflect off the north and south door and hit him thus over time killing himself. edit: I thought the scripting behind the rat boss was very poor. I've had tougher fights from the default baddies. |
Good luck.
|
Apparently Thor has beat it 4 times on different P2P's, and countless times on guest accounts. All by himself.

I found it pretty good, the only thing I found hard was the boss which is what a boss should be, hard.
Only thing I dislike is the ugly green walls. |

It's a good quest though and an improvement from before. I just don't like how you have to be forced to do this quest or graal castle quest before you can actually play on the overworld. |

I found that room fairly easy if you stand in the upper right corner of the room you won't get sucked into the portal. Then you just attack the baddies as they approach you.
I personally think it would be cooler if the secret was to drop bombs that the portal would suck up and explode after so many of them. |
it's retarded and the enemies have too much health

The worst part of the quest is the fact baddies are serverside. They fly all around the room and it makes it nearly impossible for me to attack them. I get attacked a lot without even seeing the baddy actually hit me. It's terrible. The push/pull with the blocks wasn't hard, but it took me like half an hour just because blocks are pushed 1 tiles a ****ing second. At least with default movement you could hold two directions to speed up pushing and pulling... not here though! |
imo the limited health is the most frustrating part
|
Ya, back when those quests were made, max health was a lot higher and people had level 3 swords. Now you're trying to take on 10 baddies, 5 or so which constantly shoot fireblasts at you.
Oh, and buggy health which allows them to stack damage on you -_-. |

I used my bow and bombs a lot rather than fighting with my sword. Example: if I could get all the baddies to group up on one side of a wall I would drop bombs infront of them and move out of the blast area. I'd keep blasting them with bombs until they all died. It really made the whole dungeon a lot easier.
I found in the room that pulled if I stayed up against the wall in any direction then I wouldn't get pulled. So I would run until they where all above me then turn around and swing my sword very fast and they'd get hurt and thrown back. They would keep comming at me at an angle and I would eventually kill them with out being hurt. |
You know what's more challenging?
Actually logging on... |
I find the amount of mass messaging from the staff bothersome. I feel like a jerk because they're just doing events and fun stuff for the players. I usually end up putting them on ignore. :o

Then I decided I'd never return when some ass told me the quest wasn't even finished. |

Kia, the majority of the quests on Classic do lead to another quest in some way but it doesn't mean the quest itself isn't finished. |
