Some Levels

Here's some stuff I was working on but I've been too lazy to complete.

1) Elemental-like dungeon I was going to make
2) Some sky abandoned fortress I wanted to make for fun
3) GH for the guild (Seizure), it's a bistro.
4) My player house, haven't finished it yet.

Love the elemental level, especially the walls.

Same, looks really neat.

Looks pretty sharp over all, no noticeable tile errors. For the elemental level I would suggest some minor alterations.

All of the green grass mixed with the lava looks odd. I think it would look more elemental if you made it the black lava tiles w/detailing all the way up to the water and you could add some of the smoke image as a lighting effect to make it appear as smoke and steam from the lava mixing with the water and quickly cooling.
I also think that doing that would add a nice contrast to the elemental level as right now the left side looks very boring when compared to the right side and it clashes a bit.

I really like how you tiled the floor in the second one and the other two look pretty good as well.

Nice Luda.

I'd say these levels would be even better with custom tiles.

I really like 1 and 2. They are great.

Finally, I'm impressed. I find it difficult to really enjoy inside levels made by others.

What I don't like seeing in inside levels is how dramatic the wall becomes.
Great example is Unholy Nation's onlinestartlocal.nw which has a double layered
wall which disgusting in my mind. But you took your levels and used them very nice
and simple.

I've actually had the same sort of style when I tried merging snow castle and regular
castle as one level. You did it perfect.

The only argument that I have is the fourth set of levels, where you used the bar tiles
to outline the wall. It just don't look all that to neat, but regardless of that you did really well.

And the third level you made, just gives me that remembering feel of Darki's Pub on Doomsday.

Good for Classic styled levels but not very appealing in the new age.

The first one is.

The way things are right now, I don't think players would made such insides. Seems the LAT community is too spread out to care.

Very nice levels, I must say Luda :)

I really like the first one

Unkownsoldier 10-13-2008 03:04 PM

Nice levels but why so symmetric?

FriendlyLea 12-01-2008 12:43 AM

They're very nice! I like them.
The bistro is adorable!

Pelikano 12-26-2008 03:10 PM

I disagree, the fourth one is not simple. It's using the classic style but there seems to be a lot going on.

Pelikano 12-30-2008 03:16 PM

It's using 100% pre "made" objects or whatever they're called rofl

That's not a damn argument. There's nothing wrong with predefined objects. They can save a lot of time actually.
