I'm back

Glad to be back from my "calm"(which didn't help at all, mind you). Decided to teach myself some 3D while I was away.

Sorry for the crappy choppy animation. It was my first model and I didn't know how to animate, had to do it manually.

And decided to start redoing Graal stuff in lowpoly 3D. Ya, these are all models(applied afterwards with a stroke in photoshop).

Which gives me the result of my original intention:

And some other scrap stuff I did while learning 3D.

Good choice, great program. I find it easier to use than a lot of the other 3D programs like Maya.

I tried a couple free ones, including the much recommended Blender... but they were so hard to figure out that I gave up for a while. Even following tutorials word by word with Blender I was left wondering WTF was going on. I finally gave in and got 3ds Max and it's much more easier to figure out and I had no problem jumping in and learning.

This is pretty awesome. Any chance you can render it with proper lighting and use cellshading instead of just applying the original graphic as a texture?

I've thought about it, and I may give it a try. The only problem I have with that is the fact the early Graal stuff is pretty flawed when it comes to design and shading, and it's hard to pick apart what was intended to be shading from the design.
