Lag

What's the deal with the horrible lag Era gets? This isn't like what I've seen on any other server (except when Ziro lagged all the playerworlds). From what I've heard, it has something to do with Era's custom gserver, and when Stefan backs things up.

Every night at 12:30 EST, the server lags out for around an hour. It never fails. You can't walk through doors, or anything.

It also seems to happen randomly throughout the day, also.

This should definitely be fixed, it's very annoying.

I've heard the 12:30 EST lag has to do with unixmad's routine back ups or something...but I agree, the random lag bursts are getting annoying.

I hate that lag time thing that people have dubbed "Lag Hour". On the dot, no fail, lag. Same time every day. It's seriously annoying as hell, and when it's over, scripts and stuff are lagged out and trying to get back to a low CPU usage which causes local spikes and more lag. It seriously is horrid.

I wub it, me and my friend were shooting at eachother and I ran all around the map and back to unstick before dieing :P, I also killed like 10 people cause they thought it was no pkzones
