Era Levels
 

Here are the Era levels I've made for an application, but failed to get hired. Oh well, enjoy :D. Any criticism is welcome, also you can tell which levels I rushed and which I took my time.

Whaaaa.. those are a bit nicer then most of Era's current levels.

I like the second and third ones especially. The first one is too symmetrical, and the fourth looks crappy because of the way the tables are arranged.

Besides that, awesome job!

Your floor shading could be better, I think I have a few levels left from some years ago there for example...not sure though.

Yeah I did spawn items and stuff. I admit it, and I regret it. I wasn't really mature back than, and if Era gives me another chance. I'm willing to show them fully that I changed, and will no longer do such foolish acts anymore. Thanks everyone for the comments :D

Well, I'm 100% sure it was, because of my past history. :( or.. I didn't make the subject like the application demanded me to make. Who knows, only the Administrators I guess, lol.

When you spawned items, that was back then and I think you've matured from that.

You did this like once? Learned your lesson, gained maturity, etc? I know all too well that Frankie, himself, has been hired/fired millions of times and even done worse acts than spawning -> Administrator now.

Arushen is a perfect choice imo, and at least has the motivation to get Era on the move. Smart move would be to hire him, as far as I'm concerned :3

You shouldn't not hire a decent developer, especially a leveler, because of past spawning, etc. Though, this could really depend on what they did.

If it's a major concern, just give them access to a temp folder and have someone transfer the levels.

Its not like a LAT should have the sufficent tools at hand to be able to spawn items money and whatnot, really not like any staff other then the manager should have the ability I understand some staff can make tools that let them but there are ways to prevent it. If he is a good LAT he should definitaly have been hired unless of course the LAT they hired is even more better, but still two LAT's would be better then one, It would be interesting if We could see some levels from the person they hired though.

Reminds me of how many times I got fired on Classic. A server should never turn down a talented dev.

I couldn't care less if I had an RC with only temp folder. That would just mean, I would bug whoever will be uploading the levels 24/7, lol. :P

Thanks lol :P, but I do not think support would not get me a spot as a LAT on Era. The Server Administrators wouldn't listen to the community anyways (Not trying to spur up any frays). All in all, I enjoy making content, especially levels for Era. If possible, I can just donate it all if they like.

That would be possible, I'm sure. If you would like to do that, I would appreciate it, your levels are very good me thinks :] I think I will talk with Icarus about this later.

Not really, they've got access to the same things that scripters do. They could add the weapon and then make it look like you bought it (add to the log file). One of many ways.

he just doesn't deserve it right now. he hardly lasted a damn week before he got caught.

people get fired for a reason. even if they are the best developer on the server you can not let them get away with dumb stuff just because of how good they are. that's retarded logic. maybe since it's been a while it's a possibility he can get hired, but you guys are being so irrational.

The Admins are only fighting not hiring arushen because there lat really doesnt seem to have been hired for being a good LAT (although I have never seen the levels I also doubt anybody will ever see them) and he could implement something in the level that would give him whatever but I believe something like that was discussed on zone and really someone just needs to check it fast. and as for LAT having the same rights as NAT, there is no reason a LAT should have NC

LATs dont have NC.

It's true that a level can have pretty much unlimited rights to scripts and that can be a problem. It's been suggested though: put him through the process of having his own temporary folder. Have someone else(LAT admin?) screen his uploads before they're uploaded. This should be done via wordpad, not the Graal editor, as it will let them see any hidden scripts.

just having live rights to the levels folder is a lot of access.
you can do a lot of stuff with level based scripts.

Thats why I said run threw his levels to make sure there is no hax scripts, or like he suggest ed a temp folder, He was abusive once but if you check his levels its not like he should be abusive again, I mean a LAT that awsome should have been hired and the part about the rights was because someone said LAT's and NAT's had the same rights

I think they have enough developers already. Besides, there aren't any development going on, Era is at a stalemate.

Orly? True, I havent see anything changed since around 3 Months, Well yes i've seen a little new Era Maffia, New LAT in houses, and uhmm the Nickname system? Oh and yes, Many staffchanges.

Those are minor implementations. What I was trying to say in terms of development are, new cities, building, areas, or so on, but I guess they are still trying to iron down some problems such as the Economy, and whatnot.

An ex-PWA sure did. After everything he did, he went to UN, became manager, and then got fired.

The Administrators just don't trust me, simply because of my actions in the past, and I'm 100% sure that it will stay persistent in their minds so long as they stay Administrators. That's the hard truth, and I accept that. So I'm just going to continue what I do, and try to find a motivation to play Era. (So far I haven't, yet)

I'll just find another modern server that needs a Developer or something, I guess.

It's bull that they cant get it out of there head, but I guess if they cant your better then them in a sense
