Default editor NPCs
When are they going to upgrade the scripting for the predefined NPC character in the level editor? I like to use those characters, change the settings and gani of course, but they are very useful for making townspeople, placing baddies, setting health, speed, power, etc....
It's more of a no-brainer baddy and character system...... but it is in GS1. Has anyone made a GS2 version, or what would need to be done? I heard using GS1 is not good these days. :noob: |

Also, do note that GS2 doesn't work in the editor. |
I know it doesn't! :(
I don't want to use some other kind of system for creating baddies when that one that exists (but is in GS1) is so perfect and efficient. :( |
It's far from perfect, and not really that efficient. Maybe it was considered that back in the days, but not now. :oo:

Well yeah, it was great back in the day - now it is useless... but if there were to be a GS2 remake of that system, where you could set up your little NPC dude, it would probably be perfect for this version of graal just like the old version was so great for older graal. :p

Someone add lua scripting support to gonstruct, then you can write your own awesome editor NPCs :\

The problem I see with having a sandbox server for developers is the way scripting online works. I mean, what if I need to do something when the player logs in? How do you know someone will be responsible enough to only add their stuff to their own player? I don't want someone else's scripts interfering with me.
Also, I'd hate to see the spam that would be going on from everyone scripting at the same time... especially if they are learning and the errors that would occur. Then there is the problem of someone else having laggy-ass scripts, high CPU usage and all slowing down the server. It just sounds... bleh. |

I honestly don't see this happening though, Stefan doesn't seem to see any demand for a way for people to try out GS2. |
