Email Changes
 

Just because I haven't paid for gold in a while, I can't change my email?
That's a security hole, since account info is emailed to an email I never use, and Anti-Graal groups hacked the database a while back, and I don't want them using the same email graal has access to.

So the suggestion would be letting classic account holders change the emails associated with their account.

I thought they would do this if you sent in a support ticket, and gave required info. Have you tried?

Yup, I was told that they won't do it for me because I have a classic account

So, weren't the changes done recently? Why didn't you bother changing it before now?

I wasn't too active on graal until I got access back here.
Then I looked through my old email account, and saw all the anti unix bull****, and decided to try to change it.

From what I understand, it was just the HelpDesk thing that was broken into, and they sent those emails through there. I'm not sure what else was, though.

They do need to change this, I mean I never keep the same email, one gets spammed, make a new one. They are free. You should be able to change it though,

the thing is, you will lose your lifetime classic if you do :P it's a sneaky way to get rid of lifetime classic accounts.

? That isn't true. I had my email changed on my non Kristi accounts.

I remember seeing a leaked list of accounts a few years ago, along with the full names of the players, home addresses and emails. (some were stolen buy guys registering old expired mailboxes)

Its not like you could be a global staff person or have connections.

Though I did have my account email changed when Road Runner became Comcast, but I'm pretty sure I had gold account at the time.

You don't lose lifetime. I've had my e-mail changed. You can't change accounts(move data from one or the other), or you lose classic. Apparently, this is because classic is no longer offered, thus unable to be transfered because it 'does not exist'.
