No sound

I recently purchased a new computer and I am getting zero sound on Graal. Any other games, programs, CDs, etc. all work fine (as far as I know).

If I go directly to my Graal folder and open up ganis or soundfiles, they work fine also...It's only when I run Graal that I do not hear them.

Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
Creative X-Fi XG sound card

I have all the latest drivers.

Thanks

Could you please post the console.log file here? (either attach it or copy&paste its contents)
It's located in your Graal root folder.

Silly question but is your SFX turned up in the Graal options?

I can't find it...unless you're talking about game_console.txt? I opened that and all that's there is a bunch of image downloads.

And yea, Crono, my F3 options look fine...

Ah, sorry, console.log is some older file I still have. Yea, game_console.log.

i have the same problem and i'm using Windows XP Pro 64Bits :cry:

Spikedude 07-19-2008 03:26 AM

shouldn't this get fixed?

kia345 07-19-2008 04:02 AM

Maybe not helpful, but this happens to me a lot, usually when I have a lot of processes going. I find that if you log off Graal, close a few worthless processes and log back in a couple times it fixes itself.

Crow 07-19-2008 12:42 PM

Nothing special in the console, I guess it might be because you got a 64bit system.

rtcwgarde 07-19-2008 01:46 PM

Aww >_< we need a 64 bits graal client...:D

Crono 07-19-2008 04:20 PM

I remember someone in the past always had issues with 64-bit XP and Graal.

Guess they just don't get along.

Demisis_P2P 07-19-2008 04:26 PM

A lot of people seem to have this issue.

Close Graal.

Go to your Graal folder. Locate game_config.txt.

Open it in wordpad/textpad/whatever.

Change this line
tryloadsoundson64bit=false
to
tryloadsoundson64bit=true

Save.

Open Graal again.

Worked for me on Vista 64 Ultimate.

rtcwgarde 07-19-2008 06:50 PM
