returns if the player is jumping down a cliff or not

Try checking player.sprite maybe :)

Check for tiles below player then maybe, or check tiles in front and then see if it's the start of a cliff and then start monitoring, though player.cliffjumping would be a lot easier ^_^

Actually it doesn't use any sprites/gani(it used to). Before gani were in, it used a walk sprite, and froze it. Now it doesn't set a gani at all, and simply uses whatever gani the player is using when they jump.
