Mario Clone
1 Attachment(s)
I thought I'd try revamping the original Super Mario tiles out of boredom.
I originally posted the first version here: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...98&postcount=8 While I like that perspective more, as it gives the tiles more life, and eliminates flatness... I don't see it being possible to really pull off any kind of actual depth with that perspective, and tiling is a pain in the ass. So... sadly, I redid them in the traditional flatness of Super Mario. I don't like them that much, but I have plans to give them some life that I'll try tomorrow. |
Neat.

hmm i like the flat version more :O
i love retro :) but the black outlines in both versions are ugly ^^ http://home.graffiti.net/chrischi4u/mariodutsyfix.png |
I like the black outlines :)
|
i suggest a 2 pix outline with #898989 or so
the clouds dont look really natural, make them look more dynamic |
Nice :o
|
I actually hate these. I must have been really tired last night. I think I'm gonna redo them.
|
I like the weird perspective one, sure your'e going to have some perspective issues but hey, they were awesome.
|
Looks nice :) the clouds should be improved though and some more variation for the ground, not just a repeating (slighty modified) block
|
That's nice
Guild zeron got Mario tiles tho ^^ they got a full mario event |
clouds need to be aerodynamic yea
|
tehehe, i like it .
|
Heh, well I through the clouds together pretty quickly before I posted it, as the sky looked pretty bland.
As for the ground, well I think I'm going to completely scrap these and start over as I don't like them... but the initial idea was the replicated the Mario levels, which were repeated blocks. |
I don't think the original mario had the blocks so thick though, weren't they only one block high?
