ANOTHER Weapon GFX- Combat Pistol
Yup, here's another weapon I whipped up. I know its pretty bulky for a pistol, but it's not meant to be dual wielded.

There's a magazine that can be used in the reload gani, or just size reference. In the middle are the up and down views. I know they're not all that great, but oh well :p. Some of the weapons in game don't have all that great top-view sprites. |

The problem with sprites as small as these are is that they don't allow for much creativity. At least that's the problem I've always had. I think the creativity would be with ganis; making gestures like spinning the gun or tossing it as a trick.

Already made all the necessary ganis for it, but I can't get them uploaded to debug because I'm always on when Dan's not. :whatever:

I am presuming they are regular equip ganis? Could we also see Dual Equip? Also, would be interesting since you are ganing these yourself to see the fire gani. Something else I'm interested in is, are you going to be recycling already existing sounds for the fire, or trying to make a new Sound?

Personally this weapon could be a lot better, the shading is very uneven, I agree that this does not fit Zone but more of era, here is my take on the weapon. Try smoothing the shading out, remeber that you are shading metal and not a rock.:D

I think the pistol itself just needs to be a bit smaller. It's pretty big (compared to the player), looks like a shotgun or something in the pictures you posted.

I purposely made it large, some pistols are pretty big. I made this one quite a bit bigger than most zone pistols, mainly because I wanted to made it known that it wouldn't be a dual wielded weapon. If it seems too odd, then note that zone's timezone is around 2300 AD, and by then, the design of weapons could change dramatically.
