Eranian's update on how the server is

Nice work everyone.

Era definitely provided something new to Graal that no other server has in terms of both content and community. On Era the player interaction is part of the gameplay and you can openly see the friendships and rivalries between members of different gangs, people who have scammed eachother, etc. It's really interesting to watch and fun to be a part of.

The gameplay is centered around a fun never-ending battle between individuals, groups of friends, and gangs over money and resources. It is also possible, however, to completely bypass the killing aspect on the game and focus on economic pursuits. As well as the default NPC controlled jobs it is possible to become the owner of one of the in-game businesses and be in control of hiring other players as employees, buy a car, buy a house, collect items, etc. All of these things will be accentuated after the reset, with the revitalization of the player-owned businesses; the limiting of the default jobs that should make the game fairer for everybody and easier for the new players to ease into; and the addition of a gang point system that will mean gangs can really wipe eachother out, giving more players a chance to lead their own gang.

Staying true to Graalian form, Era has quests of its own which increase your maximum health. The quests on Era range from infiltrating a Ninja base to killing Zombies in the sewers. The baddies have recently been totally rescripted with new baddy AI that allows them to dodge, and I've heard that they are planning more quests for after the reset.

All-in-all Era is an excellent server that is still making great progress.

I agree completely with you. :) I myself like Era, but am currently waiting for the reset before I begin playing as it is almost impossible to adjust to the current economy if you are just beginning.

I always get PKed... that's not fun :(
Only way to really get ahead on Era is to have someone bum guns and money off to you or have friends. At least in my experience... haven't played it in a while or much, though.

Hey, sorry Eranian. I changed the title of this thread (not the thread name), because the title being the same as DazJenova's got a little confusing :)

Era's pretty good but I hate the economy. Guns that were 1k are now only a few dollars. I've even heard of guns that are 50k+? How do I get that? The only guns that are under 10k is the handgun, uzi, and AK right?

While Era deserves a lot more credit than what Daz gave it, it's still far from perfect.

yeah, eranian, you described Era at default state. if this was shot at saying "daz's thread is BS" then you did a bad job at it because no matter who owns era, it will always be that.

I didn't create all the problems era had i tryed my best to fix them but wasen't given a chance and like Amsel said Era will never be perfect because those problems will always be there. Eranina is just making it personal towards me who i don't even know who he is but he's constanly blaming me for everything that happened in the past of era or the problems that lie on era? you need to get your eyes checked because era has been in problems for quite some time now.

I said what? I was saying that Era will always have gangs, guns, PKing, quests, events, etc.
