Events Notification

The events notifications, the little boxes that appear on the right beside your player GUI, are switching focus from whatever you doing (playing, typing a PM, etc) within graal whenever they update.

Please fix this, as it's very irritating has caused several problems for me already.

I agree with Stephen!

Agreed, I hate when I'm typing a PM and it does this and It then send the PM half-written. Then I have to re-type what I thought I said, and clarify to the other person that this happened to prevent confusion :(

cyan3 02-10-2008 09:10 PM

I agree too, it's getting annoying having to rewrite PM's

Tigairius 02-10-2008 10:17 PM

I agree...... x_x

RavenZakuto 02-11-2008 09:17 PM

Not like you need another person to agree, but i agree as well....

Tigairius 02-11-2008 09:27 PM

I have a feeling the GUI is just being recreated every minute or so and that's what's causing the problem.. it wouldn't be hard to fix.

Ravenblade1979 02-13-2008 06:10 AM

I brought this to staffs attention and it wasn't fixed.

GraalControl.makeFirstResponder( true );

Just fix it. Takes like five seconds to do.

Actually it wouldn't solve it.
If the focus is on the PM window it would take the focus to the game.
We already have a combination of the game, chatbar and pm window check in the script and this should work. I'm not sure why it doesn't but it seems noone else is, too.

We knew ourself already but Stefan scripted it and I think he know what. He does he even fixed it later on to make it work again after some update. Might just be the current graal version.

The PM Box should be separate from the game window anyways, just as it used to be. This should easily solve the problem. It's almost useless to have a detachable buddy list, but NOT detachable PM windows. (if you minimize/hide the graal client in the tray, PMing un-hides it since the game window has to open up for it...)

And with the PM Windows on the client when you have a few open at the same time the client will start to lag really bad untill you close the windows.

This appreared as suggestion for a new Graal version quite some time ago already. So we'd need to wait and see when the new version is being released.
But I'm positive about it being in one of the next versions.

Hopefully if there is an external one for Windows, there will be one for Mac?

We're still stuck with the crappy in-game playerlist.

You can use an outside playerlist you just need to enable it :)

ROFL I was about to post EXACTLY the same response when I saw there was another page.

Yeh, Stephen is right :(

The latest internal Mac version has external playerlist and PM windows.

Does this mean actual external coded ones, or the in-game scripted ones with the new external windows feature?

Ravenblade1979 02-27-2008 07:33 AM

I would like to see this fixed or modified to what the zone currently has.

Zone has: when you start an event like say /calljumprace a popup window will come up lower right and you can either close it or join. Maybe we should do that for some events.
