My gfx programs
 

I get a lot of questions about what I use to make graphics. So here they are. They are all simple, small, and easy to use.
MSPaint - As long as you use Windows, you should know what this is. I use it for pixel work.
InfranView - I use this mainly for converting between image types (bmp, gif, jpg, and png), and also as a clipboard when I'm Copy and pasting.
Giffy - The easiest transparency maker in the world. Open a gif, click the color you want to be transparent, save the gif. That's all.
Gif2Mng - Graal comes with this program. It changes single frame gifs to pngs, and animated gifs to mng. Simply put the gif in the same folder, open that folder, type "gif2mng <filename.gif>" in the url/folder bar at the top of the screen. And it instantly creates the png/mng for you and puts it in that same folder.
AniMagic - Makes animated gifs. Just copy and paste your frames to the program, you can also set transparencies and frame rates. Search for it on Download.com, I'm not sure what the real website url is.

And that's all. I know it's a lot, but the only ones I really ever use is Paint, Giffy, and InfranView. Those are the ones that anyone should have.

The thing about PSP is that it's too big for people with 56k to download. And sometimes it's confusing.

I use PSP and MS PAINT

i use photoshop, psp, imageready, and image composer for somethings..

i use paint, macromedia flash 5 for gifs, giffy (my fav) and psp

Thanks ssmutz, I've always been looking for a good animation prog ever since my trial animation shop ran out:(

Don't forget Pixia! Search for it at Downloads.com ! I use it all the time in conjunction with Paint! It's interface is a little hard to get used to... BUT ITS FREE! And it's just about as powerful as PSP, except it cant use GIFs.... :(

A program that can't open gifs...how useful...

I will burn and send psp7 for anyone. Just i need the S & H fee.

I use:

MS Paint - as SSmutz said, for pixle work
Fireworks - all of the elaborate stuff, like my sig
Front Page - I hate the program.. but it is good for making good quality jpg's and gif's

OH EYAH I ALSO use Flash 4 for stuffs like my avatar.

i thought it just made colors transperant..

Fireworks is for vector graphics effects and finishing them and stuff foo.

You can make gifs from scratch with giffy, but you can use it to make the transparent and interlaced.

True , but being the novice graphic maker that i am, i like all the options it has..And have yet to master it.

Its great for cleaning up images around the edges too.. much better than PSP
