Toalls.

Much like the feature on Zodiac where "/shout" messages are saved, how about place the toalls in the F2 window? Surprisingly after all these years, people do still toall and after years of complaining that you don't see them in order, can't save, or copy them, I think this would solve a lot of that.

The toalls, like the "/shouts" on Zodiac could be placed in the Game tab, or even have it's own "Messages" tab I guess next to the Game one, and refresh frequently so it's not being spammed.

Just an idea :)

RC has a funny toall window, maybe use something like that?

Who toalls? I see like 0 on Unholy Nation. Is this like a Classic thing?

But yeah, this is a good idea if it actually does happen. It'll even make them popular again for where they're not.

I'd rather see like an IRC-like thing implemented on all servers (added at Login?).

You could like be on the server's IRC, or go to a global IRC, or w/e.

I know people have scripted these; would be nice if something would be made globally though.

I don't know, haven't seen it. But a lot of people have made other ones. I know Zodiac had one (atleast for on server). Someone else made one for events mainly, but had an IRC. I've made one which I could I guess release some time.

Ah! the age old argument of replacing toalls with a chatroom-esque type feature. Graal is just a big graphical based chatroom already, but taking some of the old comments on the numerous times it was presented, apparently the cons outweigh the pros.

Pros
- Easier to talk to people and follow conversations.
- Ability to have different channels / rooms.
- Greater expandability.

Cons
- Replacing an old feature, which people still use and has a sense of uniqueness.
- Graal heading into more of a chat room direction than a game.
- Ability to click and read through messages on the move would be lost.
- More windows taking up the screen (although if it were optional, well, the players problem really).
- You can actually see on the mini map who is saying the toalls, assuming that the players are spread around. This could be tackled quite easily and implemented into a chat room feature, but it wouldn't have the same charm.

Personally I feel as though the chat room features on servers such as Unholy Nation and Zodiac pretty much flopped after a while and the fad faded fast. Staff were required to watch the areas as obviously they get out of hand once in a while and well, it didn't work. It's pretty easy and convenient to switch through toalls, I guess my idea was just to build on it a little and request a feature that has been asked for so many times because people do actually still toall. While there is this kind of feature on RC, it's sadly not on the client.
