New Sub-Forum: Development Applications

Basically, the rule would be revoked that you cannot make a thread about looking for a developing server, and players can post there own information, such as there:
-Field of Development
-Timezone
-Current atmosphere of work (school, part-time jobs, full-time jobs?)
-Age
-Some work samples
-Type of server you're looking for
-Preferred phase the server is in (alpha, beta, etc.)

and perhaps other things. This would smooth out getting good players for your server, and players would be free to give criticism in the responses.

Why is it so hard to look for server's hiring threads?

And there's already a job forum for gold/classic servers..

I actually think the same thing :)
Like a portfolio forum!

Sounds good to me, so it is more on the person hiring's shoulders to figure out who they might like to help them, instead of the random hiring thread that might bring in all kinds of people.

It's not hard to look for it, it's hard for the owner and manager to figure out what kind of person you are.

If there's a sub-forum "portfolio" type thing, the owner/manager can simply look up your name and see your replies, and your overall detail and crap yourself. This also makes it harder to use stolen work as your example, because everyone is going to be seeing it. I guarantee people have gotten jobs by taking other's work.

You could also post and people will know it's your work, so a server owner/manager/whoever can check all threads in there to see if someone stole stuff.

It would probably be a good guideline not to upload work that is commonplace in getting stolen (tilesets, key scripts for a server, etc.)
