When a house falls!!!!

When a house falls I think it should drop the items that are stored in the house... This would definately help with items becoming extinct. Items that are on the server would stay on the server... and not just vanish.

And some greedy little people would just run around kingdom islands all day looking for a house to fall.

They dont vanish, they stay in the levels the house was linked to :D

Too bad that the levels is destroyed when the house falls down ;)

Gothika 01-17-2008 09:08 PM

Has this been brought up again?

That either doesnt work, or you added that after I've done my last research on this one, or it takes some time.

It does else my house and my items would still exist.

Tigairius 01-18-2008 02:28 AM

Maybe there should be a part of the time when anyone can enter the house (like when it reaches 0%) for ten days or so and the house looks broken down and the door looks broken and stuff and just anyone can go in and take stuff before it actually falls down, or the owner has an extra chance to repair their house.

cyan3 01-18-2008 03:07 AM

What i fail to see is why people would leave rare or good items in a house then they know it's going to fall, If i was going to leave my house to fall i'd at least put all the good items on my player.

Xterminator 01-18-2008 03:51 AM

Bad idea just take care of your house..Or if your gone and afraid your house is gonna fall then just grab all the items and re-build a new one

people get banned and computer problems happen a lot also. if there house is gonna fall the items just disappear. People that quit and leave items in there house that may not have been rare at the time... but now it is... I would rather a newb find an IFS instead of it just being removed. IFS used to be 5-10K plat. Now it's what 100-200 diamonds. Many people probably bought up like 5 of them and saved... then forgot and quit gaal. then those 5 sword just vanish... making it too rare for a lot of people to afford.

This would really help the circulation of items. more people would play because the items would be less likely to vanish. would also cut down on usding cause some items wouldn't be as rare.

Stephen 01-18-2008 05:48 AM

Hah, there should simply be a special item like the house renovation scroll...

House Revival Scroll (If you have a number of houses on your account you have to select one from a list when the scroll is activated).

If those Ice Flaming Swords were still around, they'd still be worth 20 diamonds, not 100-200.

Ok that takes care of the house level...what about the items that were in it? Do you honestly think the staff will allow those items to return with the house level that you select to revive? You would pretty much need some type of script that keeps a tab on what items are in who's house.

If the level is never removed, just the link to it, the items would never disappear to begin with...

Darklux 01-18-2008 05:40 PM

I think its good that those old items slowly vanish, seriously.

People who say that they shouldnt are really just and plainly greedy, shame on you.

If someone wants his items to die, its his thing, and not yours.

It's not that I want these items. People who want the items to dies are just plain greedy.... Shame on you. That means they want there item to become rare, so they can get something good out of it, or sell it for mass USD later.

I had an IFS... what did I do with it??? I gave it away in an event... HTF is that greedy?

What a loss, you've got my condolence.

There are like 1000 different Event Weapons in this game, and there will always come more.. so where is the Problem?

Its your decision to give away your weapon in an event, seriously :)

I didn't say it was a loss... you said I was greedy. I was showing you i wasn't. stuff needs to be recirculated not vanish

Yea, there's nothing like blanketing every person who's ever had a house collapse into a group of "greedy" players.

More seriously - my house on Dustari is probably either GOING to collapse or is ABOUT to. Someone want to fix that for me?

Because nobody wants to play a game where any effective item is rare. That is one reason newer players stop playing this game. They shouldn't have to work so hard to aquire effective items. Yes some items should be rare... but not all items should be.

There is no balance between items... there is either easy craftable or Rare cause most the other items disappeared in houses.

MrAnonymous_P2P 01-18-2008 10:45 PM

It has to suck for the staff that made the weapon lol. Just to watch it disappear.

And thats not the fault of missmanagement, but houses who dont spit out their rare items?

The items they will be spitting out won't be rare.(maybe a few rares but probably not many) They will be common items. If they didn't spit out thes common items... the common items will eventually become rare. My idea will keep more of a balance of common and rare items.

Management is not going to change... at least for a while. So something has to change to get newer players interested.

**Edit**
Take ice dagger for example. I have 4 in my chest at home. If i was to quit, get banned, or my comp blew up, and i had no access to gk. There are 4 ice daggers deleted from server. If the items appeared when the house fell... Ice daggers would not be deleted, keeping them around 20-30 dias. They would not rise back up to 150-200 near as fast.

Because there are no new items to replace them

And also because it creates an unintended advantage for some.

Example: So there's only 3 ice axes right now on GK, right?
If I keep my iceaxe and stay active, but the other 2 owners become inactive and their iceaxe gets destroyed with their homes, doesn't that make mine more valuable since it's the only one in the game?
As much as my personal greed tells me that this is good, my fair judgement says that this should NOT happen.

Darklux 01-19-2008 11:28 AM

Well its up to the players with their house.

If you think more event weapons should be added to the game thats another story and has nothing to do how people behave with their online property. Many people who quit just put their stuff in their house, do you want them to even alch it if they want noone to have the items?

Again, if this is just "more events weapons for everybody" be sure to make an aditional post about this, makes more sense then this house discussion :)

kia345 01-19-2008 05:36 PM

It's not "another story", it has everything to do with the house discussion. The whole reason we complain about houses falling is because everything in it is permanently gone and there might not be anything out there to replace it.

Ravenblade1979 01-19-2008 06:27 PM

Here is what it comes down too. I see this particular thread as a greed thread and we don't need that. A person house falls the items are gone plain and simple.

I see it as yet another cry from a vast majority of players who feel there are not enough items available to them on GK. They are trying to attenuate the problem themselves since other countless number of requests have gone on deaf ears.

It's a greed thread, because it's true: There aren't enough items on Gk to just throw them away

You say this is a greed thread from me??? what happens if all the current players on gk quit? Newer players might come of course... but where will the items be that the newer players want to get... Nowhere... they will be gone.

Who cares, just event off new ones.

kia345 01-19-2008 10:48 PM

There aren't any to event off, that's the problem.

There isn't some "rare item here" stash just lying around waiting on people to lose valuables

Ravenblade1979 01-19-2008 11:15 PM

Shall i start posting from EM host log what new ones have been released since christmas?

Don't tell me new stuff isn't hosted off because yann and maroku have been the ones event off the stuff.

I am going to be doing two myself.

SO please if you really want more items to circulate you first have to get those idiots who usd or charge way too much for an item to bring the price down then maybe..just maybe stuff will start to circulate.

That's why you introduce new ones. There has been plenty of graphics even on these forums alone that were given to GK that have yet to be used (i.e. Donald) and you think they'd have someone to make more.

When you say "new" I think of "new" items. To me it's not only recycling items that are dead (such as Angel Blade) but introducing brand new items. Of course this should have been done when the playerbase was actually present.

If it wasn't for USD'ers there would be many many more items dead.
